MALAYSIA SEX SLAVES

Recommended Posts

Sister-in-law (beautiful but no brains) got suckered by an offer of "big money for sex in Malaysia". Had not heard from her for two years, until recently, a phone call from her was a plea for help, that she escaped her controllers (or whatever I should call them) with her NEW BABY. wtf. She feared for her life for attempting the escape. Well, that was four months ago, and no more phone calls. I really fear for her - might even be dead.

Anyway, anybody know any government agency or private investigators who work on cases like hers? Phone calls to Consulate resulted in a need for more info about her, like her location- DUH!

While I find it hard to sympathize with her after her stupid decisions, I can't help thinking about how she must be suffering. She also has a Thai kid out here in Buriram with his grandparents (standard).

Thanks!

Jeez! I hope something good comes from this, but even so, it sure skewers the belief that some hold that "they know what they're getting into". Almost none of them do, as you report.

There are divisions of the police to deal with this, and they go into the foreign ministry. Your wife needs to get with the local cops, preferably in a city. They're sure to have at least a liaison officer involved in trafficking and the like. There are lots of cases that get resolved with a rescue. At least make an effort. Trafficking is taken fairly seriously at most levels these days. Good luck!!

I'm out of touch with a dancer who I've known for a couple of years. She showed me paperwork that stated she would earn 4000 baht per LAP DANCE - no sex - no touching.

The location was a S. Africa "Gentleman's Club" during the world cup. They would pay all her expenses and give her a place to stay. I pleaded with her not to fall for it.

She has not returned any of my texts..

Maybe you should contact the 'Woman and Child Protection Unit' of the Pattaya Police. They keep office in Banglamung and are quite active in these cases. They could be of help by giving you advice.

Their office is located on Sukhumvith Road (coming from Pattaya) on the left side. Look for the sign for the Thai fish restaurant Mum Aroy (in Thai script).

Wish you all the best.

Lets get this straight.

Someone calls you for a plea for help, you do nothing for four months but post for suggestions on a mongering board and the answers you get are what anyone with half a brain could work out

contact the police, protection agencies , emabsssies and even then you find it hard to have any sympathy for the fact that she have been brutally murdered because she made a stupid decision.

:clueless :thumbup :ang2 :ang2 :ang2

Wow, Nus & Dc, you must be perfect people, and know everything. Thanks for your help!

nothing about being perfect.

Having a little empathy for someone who has pleaded to me for help and whose life may be in real danger i would of thought was a normal human reaction.

Again i don't put myself in the genius category because I would consider calling the police or my local embassy for assistance in a potential life threatening situation.

I'm not gonna explain to you what steps have already been taken to get to this point. I'm trying to help a Thai family (as an outsider really, from their point of view). Things that you might think are normal and obvious seldom apply when dealing with a Thai family out here, believe me. So, I'm taking steps to maybe find a new approach to help out. Sure did not expect to get flamed for it in "expat issues".

Unless I'm reading too deeply between the lines..

I think you should leave the country immediately. Fight extradition if caught.
