Just got into town from VietNam and Cambodia. So as usual I go to Joy bar for my first beers... as I have knoiw the Cashier and Mamsan for over 20yrs.... I see they moved accross the street... Well it is a shit hole now... now one decent lady in the place.... the cashier and Mamas got in my ass for some crap posted on the internet. I have nere written about he Joy bar.. Some one on the Pattaya Daily news forum did... a argument ensued one sided theirs . I won't be going back again... in the past I spent some big dollars there, no more ! Besides that they charge 70B for a Singha.... so I strolled down to Sailor bar.. much nicer....... So much for customer loyalty...............

Hillbilly, we all know we are only as good as the last Baht spent there. If you go there and get treated bad, they will lose customers and will soon have none, as Mike has said he will not be spending his Bucks there. You may think this is good for business, i don't. I don't expect VIP treatment just a bit of respect, or is this asking to much from someone who is fleecing you.

i agree that all we want is respect and treated fairley but the thais have a different way of seeing things. i dont take it personal anymore but i dont expect a lot from the bars . they see us as money end off. i got tired trying to tell bar owners aout customer loyality and keeping regular customers comming back. as usual famous words of reply up to you

I always make sure to have a drink or two in Joy Bar when I am in Pattaya. I agree, that the talent is very low there now. In previous years I had been known to take multiple girls from there. I have taken 1 in the last 2 years. Yes, the beer ther is more dear that the Sailor bar. But, I still like to have a beer or two at this bar when I am in town. They have taken care of me when I was drunk multiple times.

The new bar sucks compared to the old one.

 

The old Joy bar was high on my list for daytime hangouts. The new one does not cut it.

 

I may take one walkby in a couple weeks when I am back in town, but I doubt it will by any better.

 

The bars, they come and they go.
