Seems like Mrs PHike is just as racist in her post-ie:if you don't like it,go home.

I refer to MM's response to her also.

Fyi Wife and I are back in Sacramento right now. Somtomthai would be my wifes account. Really MM I stated this when my

wife signed up and we had to put the little intro paragraph of why we should be allowed to join.

That is my wifes thoughts to this whole thing. You really dont want to get her started on some of the other things she reads.I mean are you guys really that paranoid over some criticizing. So many here criticize Thais of which both my kids are half Thai and some of you are fucking racist assholes....to tell the trutth but I guess the truth hurts.

Since she doesn't like some things in my country, maybe she should follow her own advice and go back to Thailand.Pot/kettle.

No both on the same computer.....but 2 accounts.. Now your board keeps you logged in when you come back there has been a time when I replied to something underneath her account when I meant for it to go under my account.....Yes I saw what you added. There are things my wife doesn't like about the states but she does not go on and on and on and on and on and on and on about it...................................she deals with it and adapts......

Since you're convinced it's the farangs, take a ride down Thepprasit and see the ratio of Thai/farang-roughly 100-0 or 98-2.But you're out of touch.

Mislead about what. Cause were back in the states right now......

That is my wifes account she has posted before when certain people seem to get on their anti-Thai tirade.....Thats her opinion and

actually a few of her friends opinions as well......

I never knew you cared so much Stinky, honestly I`m touched! Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

Let's try to keep this thread on topic please. We are a little more dignified than what you are used to on the other forum. If you would like to engage me in a debate, please start a new thread, and let the good members here enjoy this one. :whistling:

I have not even tried to login over at that forum for quite some time. At least 6 months. If that forum was on fire, I wouldn't piss on it. Same goes for a certain shop house that clames to be the best bar in Pattaya.

Really that paranoid MM....Should I change my status anytime I step foot out of anywhere....

One person I never jump up to defend is MM, he does a great job all on his own. However I want to pass along my two cents worth. Your wife was flying a Thai flag, and her wording sounded like a Thai, in Thailand. Yet, she was in the US. Just recently there was an authority on Pattaya flying a Thai flag that was shown to be in Australia. I'm sure it looked the same to him.

Songkran can and is fun. MM's complaint, and mine are two fold. One, it last to long in Pattaya. Two, buckets of water and water cannons to the face of people driving motorbikes is dangerous, and stupid. While most Thai's have been on a motorbike since they were just weeks old, most farang have limited experience. I know expats that never rode a motorbike before coming to Pattaya. A blast of water to the face of a 67 year old man with limited motorbike experience should be criminal in my mind. It should certainly be common sense for a Thai. Even a drunk 1/2 retarded Thai.

Just last night the GF and myself were watching a video on TV of last years songkoran. She didn't notice it until I said something. Most farang that saw the camera man while having a water cannon in their hand, turned away and squirted someone else. There were a couple that wet down the camera man's legs. However, maybe 50% of the Thai's that noticed the camera, squirted the camera, or threw a bucket of water at the camera. One, a police officer. That camera probably cost more than most of those Thai's made in a month or two. Yet they tried to cause damage to an expensive piece of equipment, that wasn't theirs. Then laughed about it.

Last year on this forum someone posted about having a Thai girl run up with a bucket of water as he was videoing, and he stopped and said OK, but please don't get my camera wet, and held it up so she could soak him. She dumped the bucket of water on his camera and laughed.

Your wife thinks we should leave the country because we don't like those extremes. You seem to be backing her up. I would never tell her to leave the country because she doesn't like the way Americans celibate the 4th of July, or thanksgiving. She isn't required to join in on those celebrations. However, I have no choice during Songkoran.

I'm already having to go through the expense of leaving the city to stay in a hotel that has tripled it's rate because other expats try to escape Pattaya as well. Not to mention having to pay to kennel my dog, and pay to get there and back. My friend who will go with me will be paying for two hotels, one in Pattaya, and the other we will stay in.

Songkoran in Pattaya is to extreme for me. I don't like it, I don't have to like it, and I'm not leaving the country.

I've stocked up the apartment, my office is downstairs and apart from a couple of trips to 7/11 on the corner, i'm staying in for the week.

One day of it is just about O.K. but a whole week of sheer madness is just too much. it's like some people just don't know when enough is enough.

Call me a grumpy b'std, if you want, but i just don't like it. :allright

Maybe, just maybe, sometime in the future, areas will be designated as Songkran waterplay zones

This way the entire city of Pattaya is not held hostage by the fools throwing water on everyone

Other issues remain, as how many people get sick from having water thrown in the face/ears/nose..? (very nasty water)

Ever wonder where certain people take a leak, when riding around in the back of a truck with a garbage can of water...?

Notice people filling water guns from a puddle of water on the street...?

The Pattaya version of this festival doing more harm than good, why not change...?

Good festivals, don't cause high fatality rates, this one does in Thailand, it is time for a change

Why not, Phuket is trying to get it under control...?

Can anyone explain to me why the local rulers allow/encourage Songkran hooliganism, please? I thought they wanted families to visit, and not encourage Songkran-type (as practised in Pattaya) behaviour.

Heres a clue...My wife has ADAPTED. She doesnt get on a bunch of message boards and bitch and moan like a bunch of little girls about shit in another countyr..

As to safety if everyone is so worried about safety then why do so many of you Fuck a bunch of BG's.. Lets see theres HIV, Hepatitis, Herpes, gonorrhea(strains of which are becoming resistant to antibiotics), syphilis, etc.......

Ever go out on July 4th, Memorial day in the states, the 2 holidays for the most traffic accidents. The western world has not capitalized on safety in any way....There

is about 1 death every 13 minutes from an auto accident in the US when that gets down to 2o minutes let me know......

DUI deaths are 1 every 32 mins in USA

Total traffic deaths are 1 every 25 mins

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2010-0...ic-deaths_N.htm

Thailand population : 67,764,033

USA population : 307,006,550

Why even compare the number of deaths, as it two different ways of getting around in each country (motorbike/car)
