Anybody watching the tour

Recommended Posts

This years tour has been incident packed to say the least.

Gutted about Wiggins breaking his collarbone, don't think he would have won it but might have been good for a podium finish, was in the best form of his life. Contador saying it might not be his year ? apparently he has a knee injury. I think it might be Cadel Evans year, siting pretty just now and the time trial on second last day might just favour him over the Schlecks if he can hang on in the mountains ?

Roll on Thursday when they hit the Pryenees and the mountain top finish at Luz Ardiden. Will see which of the GC contenders has the form.

With 2 Tour stage victories in 6 years I just don't see it happening for Evans.

Contador has taken too many falls and has nothing left.

The Schlecks will turn schlecht and choke as usual.

Voekler and Sanchez may surprise... but I doubt it.

My money was on Andreas Kloden, he's looking good, and after all the tragedy that has befallen Team Radio Shack something was bound to go their way. Now that Popo is out they're down to 5 and their Tour is done.

The most likely outcome is that Floyd Landis comes flying out of the woods soon, wearing #2006, to take Le Tour. :clap2

I had $20 on Frank Schlek at $51 , i just have this feeling he is going the better of the two and the teams strategy might change.

Cadel always seems to find someone slightly better however I also had $50 on him at $6.50

I always stay up and watch the race even though it doesn't finish to 2.00am here.

Certainly been action packed this year in regards to crashes.

Don't think Evans will get a better chance to finally win the Tour.

Contador will have to make his move at the finishes on the Galibier and Alpe d'Huez on Thursday and Friday as he won't take any time out of Evans on the final time trial on Saturday. Should be great viewing the next few days.

Yell for Cadel. Dickhead but he is an Aussie and not a drug cheat like the others. The Kermit (copyright Timbon) who has been in front for days, fantastic effort

Fantastic stage yesterday, racing from a bygone era going from so far out, well done to Andy Schleck.

Still think both the Schlecks need more time over Evans before Saturdays Time Trial.

I think Frank will go on the offensive today and if Evans drags everyone back up to him then Andy will go again, if he has anything left in his legs after today. Anyway that's my best guest for today's racing ??

Roll on stage 19.

Great racing last night, top effort by Andy Schlek, Cadel was a little unlucky that their was noone in the peleton who could help him except frank Schlek, who IMO if he took off at the 10 KMH mark would of reeled Andy in and won the stage but at the same time Cadel would of probably got an extra minute or so on Andy.

Tonight i agree with Fireman Sam, Frank Schelk will take off , again forcing Evans to do all the chasing.

only three winning chances the two Schleks and Cadel

Yep, that would be the most logic scenario for the Schleck brothers.

However, you never know in this Tour.

I truly enjoy this last week.

Finally the big guys have to show what they got.

Agree that the Sclecks need at least 2 more minutes on Cadel before tomorrows time trial.

picoman--to-morrow aussie time there will be a aussie tour winner,21mil people in oz and we still turn out some fine champions, nearly as good as those 3mil shep shaggers across the ditch.

Congratulations to Cadel Evans, a worthy winner to a fantastic tour. Apparently he is the oldest tour winner since the second world war at the age of 34. Well done to Cavendish as well first brit to win the Green jersey.

Got a free couple of hours everyday now.
