Absolutely. There's sort of a Hippie circuit running from San Francisco to Santa Cruz to points North (Humboldt county - a major marijuana growing area). Maybe a few other places. Yeah, Hippies ("Love, Peace, Bro") are still around. Your video demonstrates it.

 

On the plus side, though, Santa Cruz is a pretty safe place (unlike San Francisco). Our panhandlers are polite (unlike San Francisco).

I've met lots of hippies. I don't remember any thinking food was free or that the east coast had slave labor, and the west coast Union labor. No telling what she thought happened in the mid-west. Oh, and she can take the free food and sell it at the farmers market LOL
