American house DJ in Thaliand?

[smiley=help.gif] hello.  my name is sean o'neal.  i am a house dj from usa.  i play all around the world. (i just returned from a month-long tour in russia, and i play all over europe and america.  i wish to cometo thaliand and dj at some thai clubs.  my friend suggested that i should comtact some people around the pattaya area.  my friend thinks that someone around there might be able to give me some advise on how to go about getting some dj gigs over there.  also, i wish to visit pattaya and dj there, too.  my friend says that i will have a lot of fun there!  if anyone can give me some advise about how to go about getting some dj gigs over there, please let me know.  or you can email me personally at sean@fuzzybox.com

the music i play generally ranges from funky tech-house to soulful house.  

as for the pay over there -- yeah, that's what i fugured.  i am willing to finance my trip over there.  maybe it will be tough to recoup travelling expenses?  who knows.  i was just thinking of trying to work out some sort of dj mini-tour over there for 2 weeks or a month.  ideally, it would be nice to have a decent club fly me over there.  (i'm a pretty well-known dj, but not at all in thaliand obviously.)  but i have a feeling clubs like that don't exist.  but i'm in it for the experience.  but my only problem is that i don't have any connections in thailand.  that's one of the reasons that i am posting on this message board.

My mate DJs at the ministry of sound Bangkok.......you will need a work permit.......and you don't want to get caught without a work permit........belive me......you will be f**ked

Your only going to find clubs that are into house in Bangkok. your find a lot of clubs play Russian dance (house). The best club of course is the Ministry of sound, as Pattayamad as already said. If your pretty well-known in Russia people will know you in Bangkok. Have you ever played in Minsk?

no, i never have played in minsk.  

but being well-known in russia does not necessarily mean that anyone will know me in thailand.  russia is a BIG country.  i am not commercialized there -- i am an "underground" dj (even though they've had me on tv and commecial radio many times).

anyway, well i DO play house -- so maybe ministry of sound is for good for me.  (of course i will get a work permint.)  does anyone know how i can put my manager in touch with that club?  

and while i'm here, do you think i will enjoy myself in pattaya if i can finally make it over there?  it sounds interesting.
