Soi 17 off 3rd Rd. About 50m past Tigglebitties on the other side (left coming from 3rd Rd)

Start at about 4500B and includes EVERYTHING. They deliver, cook, cut, serve and clean up.

Cheers, :gulp:

Thats very cheap for 20 people but I thought it was cheaper! I rememeber a bar quoting me 2500 last or the year before.

Yeah but remember that in a bar the barowner will be gourging your wallet for drinks whilst with this guy in your own location there's no "bar induced surcharge".

He's been absent every day I've been past for the last week though his setup is still there, maybe he's just busy. If I see him I'll verify the price again.

try asking Adam at Cherry Bar, he has a pig roasted at some of his parties and I bet he will have the pricing structure readily available and the right vendor to procure it from.

I believe this might be the same guy at (086) 143-1254. Have someone who speaks Thai call that number for a roast pig.

I just got a quote of 120b/kg for the pig itself. So, does 4200b sound about right for transport, furniture, cooking, service? Be careful you're not an LDOP now.

Thanks , i guess t depends on the weight as well as other serivces as well. Anyway , my quote was 12-24 months ago so most probably prices have gone up since then.

Just curious , how many days notice must we give them? I would assume for non peak periods ........ 2 days? Maybe I'll just order one for FLB's staff (and me off course!) one of these days for the fun of it but I have to have first pick of the parts!

  • 2 weeks later...

This was ours this Christmas, 70KG

Where did you get that grill and if you don't mind; what did it cost you?

I bought a smaller SS unit from Doc in Udon Thani and it was pretty pricey. i.e., 17,000 baht but it is very good quality and does a good job. I'm just sort of shopping for a larger one too,

The guy in the pic made it. I paid him $300 AUD to bring it out and cook the pig. He actually brought two ovens and cooked the vegies in the other one. You can just see the second one in the pic.

The pig cost $700 AUD

The earlier ovens he made were made from Zincalume but these later ones are Stainless. He's cooked five for us over the years and knows how to cook a great pig. Folk were saying it was the best they had never tasted.
