Not sur eif this is the right place - but are visas required for Bangkok and Pattaya? I have to go on business from UK and wondered if a visa was needed or if you can attend meetings under a tourist visa - duration of stay 1 week.

You only need a work visa if you are working here in Thailand

If you are going on business, then you are required to have a work Visa. The company you are visiting should arrange this for you.

I would not bother, if you are only coming for 1 week and you are only attending meetings, i would come in as a tourist, get a 30 day upon arrival and not worry what anyone else has to say about it. I bet there will be a ton of useless replies on this subject now lol

Yes, I have worked in many places on a tourist stamp over the years, Thailand too.

Thanks for all the advice - sounds like a pretty good place to have meetings for a bloke
