VPN's....... Any decent software that works via Chrome

Recommended Posts

Downloaded VPN from Anchorfree the same as I use on other laptop, but as I'm using Chrome on this one as opposed to Firefox (after initial problem) I find that as soon as I activate the shield whilst working perfectly normally, the Browser switches to Firefox.....

I posted on Thaivisa same query with little response other than one guy having same problem with his browser switching to Internet Explorer.

Anyone recommend a Chrome friendly VPN ?? Will pay if its required.

Thanks.

Hi, I dont think the software you are using is a true VPN as the VPN aspect is a virtual network adapter with which you log into the Virtual network encrypted and appear the other end with your assumed IP address. I think you will find this software utilises a plugin in FireFox. I use HideMyAss.com (The pro version or client) and it is irrelevent which browser you are using. There is a small cost Monthly I think $10 but worth it and the fastest of the various ones I have tried...

There is a lot to say about Hidemyass. Hidemyass are one the biggest and best VPN providers in the industry. Something is right because Hidemyass supports L2TP, OpenVPN and PPTP VPN protocols. Hidemyass support almost all operating systems and devices including Windows, Linux, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android and DD-WRT Firmware.

HMA also best for Chorom Browser ad they also provides free Proxy extensions which supports Chrorme.

they offering only one package to visitors is serving as a disadvantage, as Hidemyass can offer lower price package with less number of servers. Plus, no 2 or 3 months package also limits its customers in package choices. In Short: There is no doubt in Hidemyass’s reliability and authenticity. If you are ok with what price they are offering and do not need dedicated IP type, I think there is no problem in giving it a shot. I would say Go for it!

Ok thanks for responding.

At the moment I've saved the few websites I use with a VPN on Firefox which works fine. As its totally free I can put up with the minor inconvenience.
