Hot City Streets

[Billions]

Harvested from my trip last month. Will bundle them in clusters of ten,then post.I have to resize them first,as they are huge,hence publishing in installments. Taken on a Canon 5d Mk2 if anybody is interested,with an assortment of lenses....often the wrong one at the wrong time,but these are heavy to cart around at the best of times,more so in the tropical heat of Patts.

 

Got quizzed a few times by random blokes and Soi 6ers as to the purpose of my snaps,people often mistaking the ownership of a chunky lens with working for a newspaper somewhere.I'm just a tourist.No girls wrapped in towels in rooms here with a two fingered V and nervous smile.....everything was out in the open and probably what you've all seen before.

 

Taken in Walking Street,Beach Road,the usual suspect Sois,LK Metro and 2nd Road.Hope you like them.I like signage,neon flares,ladies of the night, and the profane,bizarre,twisted scenes that you see in Pattaya all around you.No plates of food and nothing in my hotel loom.

 

I've colour corrected a few,using the levels feature in PS,cropped a couple,compensated for over or under exposures,but otherwise they are exactly as was.Any questions,fire away. I should have the hundred posted in the next few hours,ten at a time.So,what should I share,and what keep back?? I'll save my favourite one to the very last,number 100.

Billions may I ask what camera are you using ? The quality of the picutres taken is very high indeed

Ether,its a Canon 5d Mk2....a gorgeous piece of kit to dangle round your neck. The glassware (lenses) were often a 24-105 walkabout or a 30-300 zoom,but thats heavy and huge,and attracts too much attention. I also used a couple of primes.Theres a lot to be said for using these beasts,as opposed to the slimline digitals everyone has.On Walking Street,I saw people filming with iPads.Why do they do that??? Maybe Russians....

I've got no idea how I can add just ten more pics to make the hundred promised in the title.....there's so many good 'uns still on my hard drive,so will post a few bonus ones to complete the report faithfully.But my favourite one will be the last one in this set,not yet posted and not now number #100,but I'll let you know when it's added. The reason its my fav is that it sums up the spirit of Patts totally....you'll agree when you see it. Haha!

 

Its three in the morning here on the south coast of England,and I've gotta get up bright and early,so I'll finish this photo-report tomorrow.I had to find and resize every pic,it took ages,much longer than anticipated.
