Triple 222 boutique hotel, Silom. Bangkok.

Recommended Posts

Well, have staying 2 nights on Sukhumvit road, I checked out of there and moved on to the Triple 222 hotel, on Silom road. It call itself a businessmans hotel, rather than a tourist hotel.

I booked this hotel through www.booking.com, at a cost 2,333 baht a night. Rooms are beautifully laid out, with lots of floor space. Huge bathroom with a large walkin shower and a large sized bath tub. Free wifi of 5meg. TV with the usual channels again, DVD player( they have a huge list of nearly 1000 DVDs you can borrow from reception). There is a swimming pool and gym at their sister hotel, the Narai hotel, located right next door. There is also a bar and restaurant located at the front of the hotel. Beer and drinks are very reasonably priced, as is the food too. No joiner fee here, but they will take the girls ID card and call you in the morning. A good security feature here is that the hotels front door is always locked, and can only be opened with your key card( or press the buzzer, and security will check you out and let you in).

Situated towards the bottom end of Silom road, it's a short 5 minute walk to Chong Nonsi sky train station.

Would I stay here again, hell yes. I really liked this hotel, and feel its well worth the money.

The 222 was the first boutique hotel that I stayed at in BKK - I think the 5* properties on Priceline had jumped up in price relative to the exchange rates and I was looking around for a bit of value. I had a regular girl staying with me so I wasn't looking for mongering nightlife. The rooms/hotel can't be faulted IMHO and the restaurant is in a great location for some afternoon viewing of, as one BM described it, 'the opera of the street'. Lots of fond memories for me.
