Just to make people aware...

A thai man called into my bar mid morning one day. I hadn't arrived yet or my lady so our cashier was working alone. He walked in and asked for my lady by her nick name, he was told she is not here yet but will be in later. He then said he had her dress fixed/altered and presented a bag to my cashier and said the bill was 450b, my cashier went to get him the cash then realised she had no change, the man offered to go to the 7 shop and change the 1000b note.

Ok, first he never returned with the change, and second later upon closer inspection the bag contained a smelly shirt not ironed packed neatly inside a clear plastic wrapper.

CCTV was reviewed but the pictures were not clear enough to identify him.

Worrying bit was he knew my lady's nick name so he had done a little research.

Amazing how creative they are.

I recall another incident being posted here some time back which sounded similar, basically a bar employee taking it upon herself to pay some misc billing.

You wouldn't just give a stranger 1,000 baht to get change. Deffo the cashier is in on it.

Its does sound possible but even if not the 100bht would be coming out of the cashiers salary.
