Android Apps-whats essential?

Recommended Posts

Father Christmas bought me an Android phone for being a good boy this year. I was wondering what BM's consider the essential apps to down load?

In addition to the essentials I would also like to download anything that is good for we regular Pattaya visitors.

As a matter of interest I have only downloaded two so far, these being Missed Call because I need reminding if I miss a call and I paid for Swiftkey 3 which was worth the money.

Consider getting the various communication programs that you might find your friends or the ladies using. These have features beyond chat in many cases..file sending, Internet phone calling, video calling, etc.

I've downloaded and use whatsapp, viber, Google Talk, and Skype. That covers a lot of people I know..

A lot of Thai girls use Line, Viber and KakaoTalk, although Line is the most popular. These are much like Skype. Another essential app is Soundhound which tells you what song is playing. True genuis.

For forums such as this, Tapatalk is definitely worth getting as mentioned above.

Call Recorder is great if you wish to record calls automatically and it's free if you only wish to record the last 10 calls.

Use Skout and Badoo for find Thai girls (Skout is better) but watch out (or not) for the massive amount of Ladyboys.

Google Sky and Googles are great as well. Also, don't forget to download your favorite News agency app and make sure it's set for push notifications if you want to be informed on breaking news.

Thanks guys, I will have a look at some of these. Is there a simple app for translating English / Thai that is recommended?

Google Translate app might be bundled with your phone's software. Look for "Translate" in the application list. It's not great, but it's useable.

For single word translation, I've found nothing better than the app "Thaidict". It's absolutely the best I've ever seen. I think CheshireTom put me on to it during a discussion on this subject.

Hi. Can someone recommend a good app to manage daily expenses ? I am not looking for a powerful app to manage my budget or bank accounts, just a simple one to memorize and classify my daily Pattaya spending.

There are just too many of them on Google Play : https://play.google.com/store/search?q=expense&c=apps. I loaded the 1st one to try it, Expense Manager who seems good, but if someone know a better one... Thanks.
