ihave stayed there once but was 2 years ago, i liked it but there was a lot of noise outside but as soi8 is not what it use to be will be better now

I'm looking to stay in a different area this year and Soi 8 seems to be central and ideal

I was in the bar opposite on my last trip, met three guys who where staying there, they thought it was brilliant, primarily I think because they walked out the front door across the road and had been with every girl in the bar...... Don't think any of them had ventured any further!!!!

its an OK place with good service. Aircon control sucks though.... boiling hot (off) or frigging cold (on) only ......

even all the girls complained freezing to death!

My suggestion is this. I used to stay there all the time until they did the recent re-build. There are two pools and one seems to be in constant shade and I am unsure if they have any shade on the upper one. Needs checking out. Because of the renovations I do believe that you need to check it out before you commit. Why not call in and inspect the place and let us know. IMHO its too much of a risk without a look-see first. The street should be getting quieter now and this was never an issue for me even in the busy times.

 

I think this is a good location for getting anywhere and if it was OK I might even consider moving back.

I stayed there in 2009. Had to change the room due to aircon problem. Overall it was a good stay. They have a nice pool that i never used, though joiners were not allowed to use it that time, don't know if things have changed now. Complimentary breakfast was good.

the new tower wing is different class.nice interior and good bathroom.

Aircon is good and can be controlled.

Only trouble:most rooms look to an inner yard with the pool,so you never have privacy window watchers wise.

Good for exhibitionists though... Rooms to the other side of the room go towards the next wall.

Only highest floor can just look over the roof.

Thanks for the report. IMHO Soi 8 is the best location in Pattaya for accommodation. Its wirthin walking distance of almost everywhere and has 2 supermarkets within an easy stroll. What more could one want? I will have a look at the rooms next time in Pattaya. I alwayts styed in this Soi till the building started and perhaps its time to go back.

stayed in sunshine hotel for every year for about 12 years ,but when the old rooms around pool were demolished and the

construction on the new builldings began, i moved to other hotels in the area .

they did not reduce prices during constructionworks ,or in low season like they did in the past.

the service has allways been excelent ,clean rooms ,friendly profesional staff .

like the all day cafe restaurant.

stayed in eastany 7 ,flipper lodge en flipper house the last 3 years.

the flippergroup have simular quality as sunshine ,

saw on sunshine website they have standard rooms for about 1100 baht a day , a great deal .

the more expensive rooms look very nice .

i can recommend sunshine ,great location ,rooms and staff .
