NongJai 1, Thai & European Restaurant on 2nd Road

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the review. I have eaten at times in the other restaurant that is straight across from this one in the Tipp. This place is also quite good for a European breakfast.

As a side issue this side of Second Road heading back into Walking Street is actually worth a night out. There seems to be a permanent Issan show at one bar and there are good bands at places like the Bodega and Wonderbar.

I've always passed this place by because it seemed full of farang diners whenever I have gone there.

I go down to the restaurant on the right side (heading from 2nd Road), just before the market. I've always had a good meal there, but it's been a few years.

I'm a fan of that restaurant's goong pad nam phrik pao (web image follows)

That is a very nice pic, Martin. Thanks for the report, Evil, I like that place too, the food is good and the price is fair. Eat there at least once on each trip.

Update from Nongjai. The young lady and I were both hungry so we had a pretty big meal. Very tasty!
