Mobile broadband in Patts ?

Hi Guys, just booked up for trip next March. Wondered if there is a 3G mobile network yet in Pattaya ?

On my last trip (2011)there were limited Wi-Fi hotspots but no mobile internet network.

There's 3G pretty much everywhere now with all the mobile providers.

There are also a lot of wi-fi hotspots that are cheap as borscht, e.g. 99 Baht for the entire month.

 

See my earlier post. If you are near a Family Mart (and who isn't?) it is a great deal.

 

You need a cell, not smartphone, to get the code.

There are quite a few 'Free' ie unsecured Wireless networks to be had too. I was sat infront of a place and chatting to a girl using a notebook and she told me she had just logged onto free connection via Wireless. I did a quick speedcheck on it and it was 10/1 Mb.

When you get in head to Telewiz in either TukCom or Big C Extra, They have many mobile internet packages available.
