Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

I'm going to Koh Samui in mid-Feb for a few days.

Any recommendations on OK accommodation in either Lamai or Chaweng? Up to 1500 baht/night?

And, any tips how to beat the Samui taxi mafia? For example the transfer from airport to hotel?

All info welcome. Thanks.

Lots of decent hotels in the 1500 baht range. I haven't been in four years but airport transport is usually a reasonable option via most hotels. Lamai Wanta was very nice and about 1500 back then.

Book your hotel online , there will be plenty of good available rooms at that time of year and ask them to arrange an airport / hotel transfer for you , it won't cost that much and can save you any hassle .

I stayed at Chaweng Grand View, booked through Agoda. Was a nice hotel, although a little far from the beach etc, but hired a motor scooter and let the TG drive me around :)

I always stay at Chaweng Beach Resort. It is farther down the beach and quiet. I get the superior bungalow which is 2500 baht but they do have rooms cheaper. Al's place is on the beach just up from Green Mango and is also nice.
