Airline cancellations

Recommended Posts

I noticed the following story on PBS a day ago. It makes you wonder how many other companies will cancel flights over the next few weeks. I am booked on Thai Air and so far so good but it will be nervous times till the matter dies down.

Singapore Airlines has announced the cancellation of 19 flights to Bangkok from January 14 to February 25 due to the political unrest in the Thai capital.

I'll accept that's what the news story said but it's a little strange as Singapore Airlines has 4 or 5 flights a day just on the Singapore-Bangkok run. Edited by nkped

I also read that they were looking for an opportunity to reduce flights as the budget carriers are really eating into them on the Sing-Bankok route.

The budget carriers have some good fares later in the month so they must have reduced load too.

Selfish I know but tourists are spoiling this place!
