Went today to the 239 baht All Season... the beef steak was horrible, but the rest was fine.... even my favourite borsch was cooked more or less properly.... the curry shrimp was delicious.... Not the best food but value for this money... at least much better value, than the so called " fine dine "... nothing for a fortune...

Perhaps in general, but myself, every once in a while I get to jonesing for salads/salad dressings and the salad bar at Sizzler's can be nice.

 

The weekend buffet at Beefeater can be good and relatively balloon-less also.

I like the buffets because I can get a bite from many different foods... as the fine dine call it: degustation menu... :teeth:

BTW under this climate I'm not a big eater here...sometimes some fruit and a noodle soup enough for a whole day...

IMO... he is a lunatic ( rumours says under the influence of the psychiatric medicines ) dictator. Populist, nationalist and a light nazi...( an other question, the hard nazis really good vote results on the last week end votes ) However true, he is really popular widely... he gives for the people the circus, but not the bread... he started his carreer as a liberal ( I met him a few times then ) and from this route he turned to a before the WWII nostalgic conservative... nowadays a man the majority of hungarians looks on like a god OR hate him like the devil....Many friends stopped to talk, families were ruined simple because of the different views on Orban.... He is a really talented populist, he was able to sell for many people the idea, they pay less for the government and at the same time introducing dozens of new taxes...

This is probably the only subject I agree with Gabor with the exception that I wouldn't let him off that easy. He's a dangerous psychopath but a good manipulator. Still cannot take all the credit for what he has done but the ruthless gangsters he surrounds himself with in the party and all the serious government positions, including the police force which under this government basically act like the collectors and hitmen for the mafia, which ironically happens to be the government in this sad little country. And wacmedia, don't believe he's that popular but his party is controlling the majority of the media and all TV stations in Hungary. We got to the point when you can get real news about Hungary only from a few Internet sites. Most people are silent simply because he destroys those oppose to him. Hard to believe? Ask a Hungarian friend with first hand experience.

MM I humbly disagree that balloon chasing is akin (hardly different) to buffet frequenting. I go to several Thai, Chinese, Indian, and Korean buffets a rotating basis in LA, and Souplantaion too, and pay pretty decent bucks for the pleasure. It's not a pig on a spit on the front of the beer bar, I'll grant you that, but in the end cash is laid out, tips are paid, and a service is provided which is paid for. I like variety, I like to try different tastes, and while I'm at it, I like to add that ObamaCare is the worst scam perpetrated on the American people in US history. I'm just sayin...............
