$600 for a bike you would pay $4500 in the states for a new one. Not a bad deal.

Do they sell this in the USA?

They sell a PCX150 for about $3500, new, which is a completely different and superior machine.

Keep it real.

Jacko, The walk in price at a local bike shop for the PCX150 is $4500. According to Honda it should be $3500 as you stated.

I admit to not knowing shit about bikes. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a bike endorsement on my license so that I can legally rent one in Thailand.

Can you tell me in which ways the PCX150 is a better bike except for engine power?

Double rear suspension, bigger engine, combined braking system, auto idling engine stop etc.

Anyhow, let us not derail this thread further.

Jacko, can you send me a PM. I honestly don't know what those terms mean. My apology for derailing the thread.

Auto-idling stop apparently is against USA DOT guidelines, so it's not on the USA models.

I absolutely love that feature, esp with these 5+ minute light waits in central Pattaya.

If you've never ridden one before, Thailand is not the place to learn!!

Fully agree. I have ridden for 50 years and every day in Pattaya I have "close calls". Automatics do make it easier as you can concentrate more on the road and what is happening around you, rather than worrying about gears. Unless you are planning to be here long time you can make do with public transport.
