Does anyone have any recommendations for where to go for xmas dinner in Pattaya?

ive been to nicky's on soi buakhow a few times before for dinners and it's very good, but at 999 baht it seems a little over the top for what is basically a sunday roast with a starter and sweet.

Exactly. I went last year, and couldn't really tell the difference from their Sunday roast at 1/3 the price and the Xmas lunch aside from the basic average prawn cocktail and an average dessert.

Topped off the dull, expensive lunch with a slightly more expensive but much more exotic and delicious Xmas dinner at Casa Pascal.

 

999 is taking the piss, as you Brits say.

 

Oh, wow..check out the 499 for a Thai meal.

I'm leaning towards jocky's on soi lenkee ive eaten there lots of times but not seen the price for xmas dinner yet,Alan (the boss) used to have the 18 coins and it was always excellent value there.

I'm not a big fan of Turkey so refuse to pay the inflated prices for what is basically a Sunday lunch. However I do notice the prices of various offerings around town. Most of the British style pubs will offer a Christmas dinner menu. Prices usually start at about 500 baht at places like Robins Nest,with most places offering menus at about 700 baht and above. If you really want Christmas dinner have a look around a find one that floats your boat,alternatively use the cash to have a good steak or other some other treat.

Tequila Reef shall be doing an All American Christmas Dinner for around 400 to 420 baht this year. Normally we do a buffet but this year we are going the set dinner direction. Don't understand why many establishments tend to gouge their customers during the holidays as we consider Thanksgiving and Christmas basically customer appreciation days thus we give good value for your money. Our prices for this years 15th Annual Thanksgiving buffet are the same as last years. This is because of the price of turkey has actually gone down. Thanks to everyone for giving us the ability to have have our 15th annual Thanksgiving buffet. :)

Sorry but i am wondering why your prices on a Turkey dinner are the same as last year when you state Turkey prices have gone down. As customers we pay for time, staff, services etc, and i have no problem with that. Just the way it is written is a little off putting.

 

i like the idea of a set dinner menu as opposed to a buffet where many times what is on offer online sometimes does not appeal to everyone that have paid their money. I have been a customer for over 12 years but in the past have felt these kind of promotions to be a bit of a let down, just my 2 satang worth

Many many other ingredient prices have gone up I expect. Vegetables being a good example.

Turkeys are bred locally now although I don't know where the TR ones originate from.
