I guess Mike Ashley has got enough cash to pay this clown off.

This guy lasted less than 4-months with my club before getting the sack.

He has been with more clubs than I have in my golf bag.

Surely he will be another statistic very, very soon.

He was Fergie's first recommendation to replace him at United! :yikes: To be honest though; I reckon they would do better by getting shot of Ashley, and maybe have a mass clearout in the championship for a season.

Huge support... passionate supporters yes.

But they just cannot get a big name manager to entice big name players to go to Geordie land...its a fact that some of the best overseas players do not even know where Newcastle is.

Kevin Keegan probably had the most success up there but even he ended up walking out the door due to a difference of opinion.

It looks like a no win situation.

Just as a side note one of my lads sent me the image.

I have no desire to see Newcastle up with the big boys as their supporters invaded the pitch to change the course of a game against Nottingham Forest in the 1974 season. I was at the game on the Gallowgate end at the time.

Also got a brick thrown through the train carriage window at the start of the way home and it was bloody freezing.

That was a long time ago but I have a bitter memory of that one.

Perhaps they need to take Fat Sam back!

Surely, surely destined for Sunderand !

It is the sort of club I could see the currently unemployed Klopp suceeding at, but would he work for Ashley?

I am predicting that Advocaat will "fall on his sword" next week, at Sunderland, and by the sounds of it not even if they manage a result against West Ham. Despite my earlier reservations with regard to Brendan Rogers at Scousehampton, his demise may very well come too, should they perform poorly against Everton. McClaren looks reasonaby secure for the moment at Newcastle; especially if Ashley, with typical spite, thinks the supporters don't like him. The quiet fortnight for clubs , due to internationals, provide an opportunistic window for cut-throat owners!

He's one of these people that make a good assistant and that's about it. Did he actually do that much when he was at Manchester United? I mean this sincerely and without any ridicule - it must be hard being a Newcastle fan because they never win anything yet they have all the backing and support to be a top club.

Also, I don't see Benitez as a "saviour" type of manager. Very "tactical", but not really known as a great motivator. However, if he does stay after relegation (can't see that happening myself), then they do have a good manager, given the finances, for the first time in many, many years. They have gone through 9 mediocre to "kit bagman" level ones since Sir Bobby Robson, at an average of 1/year!

Could well end up as a one-on-one with Fat Sam at Sunderland to stay up..... I know which one I would have my money on!

Newcastle United - What A Waste

Indeed, Newcastle are one of only three Premier League clubs that have managed to report profits in each of the last five years (Arsenal and WBA being the other two). It’s little wonder that supporters are enraged by this level of profit, especially when they compare it with the absolute poverty of the playing squad.
