Gerard,

Garuda is the Indonesian national airline and after Bangkok the plane goes on to Bali.

It's a very good fare but their timekeeping leaves a little to be desired but if you're not in a rush it's not so important.

Regards,

Richard

Gerard,

The best advice I can give you is if you're thinking of travelling to LOS regularly is to join the Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus frequent flyer club . Then when you fly to LOs with Thai, Lufthansa, SAS, Austrian/Lauda, Singapore you get the miles which works out at fly 6 times and the 7th is free plus they have a special offer at the moment to upgrade to business class for an extra £250 each way.

Regards,

Richard.

Gerald ,

I'm in Pattaya from 6th - 27th June . How much did you pay for your flights ? I paid £551 inc tax and £61 for insurance . I booked through www.dialaflight.com  and am flying with Lufthansa , apparently a very good airline according to my sister who was a travel agent for 8 years . The guy I booked with did not recommend Air Lanka as it involves a 6 hour stopover in Colombo , which isn't the safest of airports .

I could have got an Eva Air flight for the same money but would've had to stay overnight in London coming back as I was arriving in too late for the last connecting flight to Belfast . I have since heard that there is now a later shuttle flight and I could have flown with Eva . Maybe next time !

Derek
