WestEast Travel no more

For years I have used the services of westeasttravel.com to book flights to Thailand. They usually offer the best prices and never have any problems with them.

They have just ceased trading. Anyone with tickets (such as myself) are being referred on to the airlines directly for any bookings/changes/refunds..

The travel industry and associated businesses around the world are being gutted.  There will be many failures.  Even airlines may fall if this gets real serious

That's a shame. I've used WestEast in the past and they always did a good job.

I have also used them many many times over a number of years.

What a shame, also found them great to deal with?

Only ever found them useful once. Website stuck in 1990s and of last few years, not even accurate on business fares.

Sad but inevitable as they were years behind the times.

One of the BMs here used them for a flight in 2008 London Bangkok (think it was Qatar) turned up at Heathrow and the flight simply didnt exist

As far as I know he never got his money back (will ask him later) and had to buy new flight

I used them probably 25 times mid 90's to early noughties but as Torranova says they didnt move with the times
