Should people be able to reply to those that have been archived?  I'm not so sure it's a good idea for people to reply to messages 1-2 years old.  We know how things change day-to-day let alone over such a vast time expanse.  Just my 2 satang.

The Archive forum is locked .  Try it and you will see you can't reply, for the very reasons you mention.
