1/ People watching along Walking Street/Pussey Promenade, sorry - Beach road.

 

 

2/ Buying selected things at 1/2 price of home, or less. :)

 

3/ Laying in till early afternoon & knowing you can do last night all over again tonight.

after my run on the beach I head to the Lek Hotel's 95 Baht breakfeast buffet on Soi 13.

it has "brewed" coffee, all you can drink included.

depending on your hotel pool a couple hours watching the interaction of the cultures around the pool and its time to take in a massage.

a little street vendor food and it's time to hit one or two of the early go-gos- Far East or Tahihian Queen if you like rock and roll in the early afternoon as I do or there are others, on Soi 13/3 , 13/4.

a little wondering around and hit a few beer bars and get in the connect four and dice with an ocational jinga thrown in and the afternoons about shot. time to get cleaned up and head out for a good nights activities.

please don't ever dilude yourself why you spent hours traveling and your hard earned money to get to LOS.

You could always ruin a good walk and play a round of golf.

For me:

swimming (in the pool or jomtien / one of the islands);

chilling somewhere with the live band playing;

people watching; :)

 

There is also the possibility of driving a go-cart, visiting crocodile or snake farm etc.

Three things to do away from the bar scene that might be fun or interesting are:

 

1- A visit to the Santuary of Truth...a huge temple built out of wood reflecting several S.E. Asin religions. There are also several different other things to do there. See and feed the dolpins.( call for the 2 showtimes). A boat ride,etc.

2-Go to the Zoo..I think it is called The Thousand Year Park. tiger and bears up close,feed the crocs,see the shows.

3- Go carting. This was a blast!!

 

If you can bring a TG, they will enjoy themselves there and they can help you find the places. There are many other things in Thailand to do if you are willing to travel. A day trip to the Bridge over the River Kwai is very interesting I hear. I wanted to go but I didn't have enough time. I wonder if any of other member have made that trip. Many Brits seem to be interested in visit that place. I went up to Chiang Mai for a few days. I went to an elephant training camp. I really enjoyed that. I can Be such a tourist!! Like rbav84 said most of know why we go to Pattaya, It is a great place and there many fun things to do ...in and out of the bars!! Have fun

1. Wat Yansangwararam and Wat Phra-Phuta-Maha-Vachira-Uta-Mokat-Sasda. Both are located about 12 km south of Pattaya (just before the turning for Nong Nooch) and signposted from Sukhumvit Road.

 

2. Horse riding at Horseshoe Point.

 

3. Bang Saen for a seafood lunch and an afternoon sandwich at Galaxy.

Great question.

 

(1) Buy a load of sweets and visit the orphanage. Laugh like a kid, cry like a baby, and leave with a head full of crazy swirling emotions; a bit like LOS itself. Thai girls love it, too.

 

(2) Wrap myself around an unfeasibly large breakfast at the Lek, people-watch, feel jealous of the newbies to Pattaya, fall in love with yet another tiny, shy waitress with a "trainee" badge.

 

(3) Go to Wong Amat beach, eat, drink, eat, drink, sleep, read a good book, look at my watch and think about what I'd be doing if I was at work, drink, eat, wonder why anyone should want to go anywhere else for their holidays ('cept Phuket maybe)

get up still pissed from the night before, take your tg to a bar for copious ammounts of coffee, try to watch the movie of the day whilst secretly lusting after the stunner with the long legs that just served you.

& as you start to regain some sobriety, you realise that the legs that you had been fantasising about for the last hour or so belong to the resident ladyboy!
