Not sure about prices from the UK put Thai are doing some incredibly cheap fares at the moment in and out of Australia. A return to Bangkok from Melbourne in February is going to cost me AU$870. Have to book before Christmas day.

Welcome to the board mate. I'm sure you'll fit in here.

Great pics. They make a nice change from the usual stuff we see here. Don't get me wrong though as I love "the usual stuff" we get here.

I had a 9 hour lay over at Dubai about 4 years ago and wasnt given access to the lounges even though i did try. Having said that things may have changed since then. If you can't be bothered heading into town there is a hotel located in the International transit area so you don't even have to clear immigration. If I remember correctly its on the top floor. You could get a room there for 4 or 6 hours as well as the normal overnight rate so it might save you a bit of money.

Pics from our first Party

Great pics Chris. Looks like it was a great night. There are several petty fetishes that i have when it comes to Thai chicks. One is short hair and another is Chicks who wear glasses. SO please tell me some more about the above girrrl !!!! Will hopefully be in some time in February for a beer and a bar babe. -

You better send me a database of all the service girls in Pattaya that i'm not allowed to go near beacuse they are being boned by the Hammer. On the other hand sent me a list of the ones I am allowed to see. It will probably be a smaller list -

DAYS IN THE LIFE OF A PATTAYA HOTEL OWNER
Shuggy replied to cookie's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I stayed at Jasmin Mansions on my newbie trip and Kevin really did look after me. Its a great place to stay whether you are a newbie or an old hand. -
I rememebr seeing her around Soi 7 and Soi 8 standing and ranting about something in Thai. Didnt know what her story was til I read Sprinters post. Thansk for the info. Its a shame.

SOI L.K. METRO (CENTRAL PATTAYA)
Shuggy replied to mulphy's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Great write up mate. I agree that its no way like Walking Street beacuse its nowhere as in your face. Thats what I like about it. -
I'm a big fan of Soi LK Metro. I stayed around the corner from it at Jasmin Mansions earlier this year and spent a bit of time is a few of the bars. Its not as intense as Walkin Street but aint a sleepy little Soi either. WIll be spending even more time thier on my next trip. The other bonus is that its a very short drunken stagger back to my hotel.

And what do the girls call ya?

I'd go for Cambodia over Vietnam. Even though P4P exists in Vietnam its much simpler in Cambodia. Vietnam has rules relataing to "cohabitating with foriegners" which are often enforced if only for the cops to make money. Hotel workers will call the cops on you if you try to sneak a girl into the hotel because they can get a chunk of what the cops extract. Have seen it myself in a place called Vung Tau near Saigon.

service girls need ......as well
Shuggy replied to alan lad's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Sometimes i actually prefer the service girls beacuse they are weraing a little more. Imagination is a wonderful thing !!! Not sure about your place Alan as i was only in thier once and i was so shit faced i can't really remeber much. Will come in in Feb and might just give one of your service girls a go. -
I think this is a case of each to thier own. If you book early enough, you can get some extremely cheap fares. If you aint to bothered about paying for food, drinks and inflight entertanment then there is definately a good deal to be had here. Nothing stopping you bringing your own food and drink on board and there are ways to sneak booze on too The seats, though not the best in the industry are okay. Close on to half the cabin crew is going to be Thai nationals based in Bangkok so there will definately be some eye candy amongst them. Personally, I just prefer to pay more and have that extra bit of comfort and higher staff to pax ratio. I wish Jetstar all the best and do want them to do well. The extra competition might even drive down prices on other airlines.

Thai have recently started taking delivery of a bunch of brand new 777 ER's. Not sure about US or UK routes but they are currently using some of them on the Bankok/Melbourne route . They are very nicely laid out, with TV screens in seats and all the usual up to date mod cons in Economy. Be aware though that they still have some of thier other (older) 777's around which have very little in the way of inflight entertainment.

I remeber flying with Olympic in the late 90's when they still used to fly to Melbourne. I asked for a Scotch and a red wine with my meal. Recieved 3 miniature Scotchs and four mini bottles of red wine. Bloody civilised !!!!

I'm an Aussie but support the Edinburgh bead rattlers (Hibs) though like yourself, i'm into the fitba more that the bullshit. Enjoy (and miss) the banter on the terraces though. Look forward to nipping in for a few beers in Feb.
