  1. hi guys .. theres a Japanese Karaoke bar opposite soi 6/7 on 2nd road .. next door to a japanese sauna/massage i think .. if i recall the signs were green (lol thats all i remember) can anyone passing by get me the name of the place .. and although its fairly unlikley has anyone been in there and know what its like ... any reviews of the place would be helpfull .. just checking on my TG's antics b4 we start talking visa's .. . lol
  2. just for info .. can't see another post telling those who like to know .. navy got back in last night .. here for 7 days the guy i spoke to said .. enquired about curfiew and they said none set as long as they behave ... seemed correct as they were still out after 1am so no midnight call back. no idea what ship ,, i did ask but was too far gone to remember what he said did'nt make any difference to the night as most of them seemed to be chasing japanese girls up and down WS who were not BG's .. lol .. in fact some girls seemed more eager (if thats possible) to get in with non-navy punters so as to avoid them it did worry me having them over here during my short trip but as previos poster have rightly pointed out theres so many bars/bg's/gogo's in this town that even with them here its still quieter than high season .. and i was surprised how many BG's i spoke to said they avoid the navy when they arrive ..
  3. £529 with emirates ... lhr - bkk - lhr expedia.co.uk
  4. how do they rate against the penthouse suite at the vualt ?
  5. Hi all .. has anyone been inside the Galaxy Suites ? or even stayed there .. i'm considering booking one of there jacuzzi suites but can;t find any reviews on the place .. i gather its above 2 gogo's on soi diamond .. and has ST rooms .. but no one mentions if there "real" rooms for a vacation stay are any good ,,
  6. the purpose is not to avoid paying 10bht per min to call the uk from a thai card .. its so i can give ppl in the UK a UK number to ring that will give me a lower cost than recieving a call on a UK roaming mobile 6.5p per minute compared to 60p ..
  7. well i set it up .. set forwarding to a thai BG's number i had in my mobile from last visit phoned the UK numner i had set for skype .. then chatted away for 59 seconds to the girl on the other end in pattaya .. her english was terrible ,, she probably wonders who the hell it was calling her .. lol the result .. a clear line .. and a cost on my skype account of 6.5p well happy ..
  8. hi guys ... some usefull information for some of you maybee ... i travel frequently and always end up with huge mobile bills for incoming calls .. eg - a call from the UK to my UK mobile will cost me £0.70 per minute incoming and around £1.30 outgoing .. i rarely use it for outgoing as its only people who need to contact me who phone me.. the only thing that stops me getting a thai mobile sim card has been that i did not want to give out a thai number to people to call .. (none of there buisness where i am and don't want relatives etc knowing its thailand ) now for the usefull info .. Sykpe .. most will of heard of it .. many will of used it to phone home .. but here's the bit i've only just found out .. 1/ get a skype number which people can dial .. i'm in the UK so i will get a number for eg London .. 2/ get a thai sim card 3/ setup skype forwarding of calls to the thai mobile number .. cost of the call forwarding is GBP 0.065 (6.5 pence)($0.11) per minute to a thai mobile number !!!! doing this i can now go and get one of the thai sim cards that give cheap UK calls .. (i'm sure i was told there is one) .. give people in the UK my UK skype phone number ,,, and save myself hell of a lot of money !! last trip i was so busy with phone calls a times that my bill for 6 days was over £180 ! .. as longtallcowboy will recall my phone was forever ringing .. lol .. a right royal pain but when i get paid for being on call and then can have a paid for vacation to los its a neccacery evil ..
  9. sabai lodge .. soi 2 .. i'd higly recomend it .. normal deluxe rooms 1500 with breakfast in i think .. or pool side ruenthi rooms 1950 .. it was a perfect base for my last trip and i will stay there again any time i cannot get the the penthouse at the vault
  10. Hi ryaninuk the price is good .. flight alone would be at least £420 per person.. then add you 20 nights in the dusit, which is not a cheap place and your upto around the £1200/£1500 mark per head. if your not all inclusive there it wil be and expensive place to eat and drink also(in comparison to our of the resort) if you want to see the normal price try booking what you have on the kuoni site as they list the dusit resort .. as far as things to do .. mmmm .. most nightlife in the areas most of us hang around in is not really tailored towards to impresionable young farang girls. the dusit i think is geared up as a resort that provides most of there things to do in house .. there trips will cost you a fortune tho, so booking those if you intend to do any would be better done in the pattaya or BKK streets .. you may find Walking street worth a walk down one evening but probably only as a one off.. there are lots of nice restruants along here and also on the beach road most areas are geared up to entertain single male travelers if you get my hint .. much of what you can do will depend on how your cousins and aunty view react to the many females plying there warez .. keep away form bars with blacked out or curtained windows if with the kids. on 2nd thought you should actualy find lots to do on walking street for the family as there are many bars that are not P4P .. i'm sure you'll all enjoy it anyway best thing to do really is on arrival speak to them at the dusit and ask for advice on where to go and what to do then go find it cheaper elsewhere. ask other people waht the trip are like as well before you book as i found many of them sooo boring and geared towards only getting extra money out of you . one thing you could do and it may work out cheaper for your trips is get a taxi guide .. to drive you round for a afternoon it would cost no more than 2000bht for 5 hours (around £30) but make sure you are firm with what you DO NOT want to see or they will take you to endless places seling jewelrey and other crap as they get commison .. hope i've been of some help, only ever done the family thing in phuket 15 years ago.. been a lone travelers since to pattaya so not realy looked for the things you intend to do .. you must have a look round one of the big temple things tho ..
  11. whenever i look at my posts afterwards, i'm always disgusted with how bad the spelling is !!! ... i must try and get another MS natural keyboard ..
  12. i thought all the penthouse rooms at the vualt had the big jaccuzi , is that not the case ? anyone know the differnce bettween the 3 penthouse rooms for that matter ? are they just differnet floors ? or size difference .. is one better the the other ? any quick asnwers as planning on booking a room with him tonight for later i nthe year (before its gets booked by someone else) and jsut want to make sure its what i exect .. and BTW .. is it one baht bus ride from there to soi 6 or 2 ?

  19. 1st off .. hello everyone .. i'm new here frequent user of another forum .. (booo .. hissss .. you all yell .. lol ) that is phuket related hopefully you all use the same abreviations here as else where like LOS , BG , BM etc so hopefully i'll settle in fairly quick .. i've not been to pattaya before .. only got back from phuket around 4 weeks ago and now desperate to get back to LOS .. and thought it only fair to try pataya .. save me the plane fair to phuket as well .. i'm sure i'll find someting else to "ride" other than a plane with the ££ i've saved . have booked my flights , only a short one i'm sad to say sob sob .. 1st - 8th may .. london - BKK - London. .. so going ot be really hard pushed to fit it all in .. i've not booked a hotel yet .. so .. hoping to find some good advice on here .. (yes i'll also use the search button) Pat seem one hell of a lot bigger than Patong Beach . and i'm in need to quick start guide to area .. i'll spend a few hours later reading more on here and hopefully see some BM's when i'm in LOS .. how many of you meet up at FLB ? oh .. btw .. i'm from birmingham UK , 39 yrs old , and traveling alone .
