Do you mean a tourist in Thailand claiming for a theft off his home insurance back in say USA? I suppose it depends on the policy but more likely claimable on their travel insurance. As to say an Expat claiming for theft off his home insurance, the policies I saw rarely included valuables and you were expected to demonstrate you had them, cash would be a tough one. -

I could watch films via streaming and android boxes back in the UK, why come all the way to Thailand to do it? Too busy looking for girls in bars devoid of them. Actually haven't bought a DVD from a street vendor for a bit, nor do I play a DVD at home much... just now and again I will look through a pile handed me while in a bar... beats having my picture taken using an ancient polaroid camera, while biting the head off a slow Loris. Might be able to work on the pile of unwatched DVDs over Songkran -
No, the one in Pattaya, on the now Dicey Reillys location, opened well before the Jomtiem one. There was initially a Shenanigans in town under the Marriott, which then moved across the road and then expanded resulting in another Shenanigans this time in Jomtien. Source... Pattaya Mail March 2013

Here is the link to the Pattaya One report. on this. My lady told me it was reported on Thai TV and the security guy said 'he hit me'...... The weapon of choice, one of those sticks with a metal hook used to pull down shutters I am told. I am inclined to say security frequently over-react and a lesson needs to be taught.

An invoice may need to contain the name, address and taxpayer identification number of the business issuing the tax invoice. Can a one person non-Thai operation obtain these? Anyhow, I am unsure, I am not a lawyer. That is why I suggested to check it out beforehand. Better to be legal knowingly than illegal and ignorant of it.

Are you not violating the terms of your work permit? I also wonder about the legality of issuing invoices that you have created yourself. I think you should be checking things with a lawyer.

Shenanigans was in that location before it moved to the Avenue (up the steps). The Avenue spot later became Acorn. When it was on the Beach side of 2nd it was a great Sunday carvery.

Although the above worked out for you guys, would 'phone alerts' have made it all easier? Whenever I transfer to Bangkok Bank I get an SMS which tells me how many £ I sent, charges deducted, exchange rate and number of baht deposited.

There was rumour of wanderers in the baggage reclaim area of Swampy looking out for those with plenty cigarettes and the information was passed on and a bit of a 'sting' set up, apparently just after customs. Glad to hear you have not been had. I pointedly checked out prices at Manchester last trip out.... hard to believe they are tax free. Even perfumes were more.... straight into the lounge now, although the layout is such that you are forced through the shops!

Nah, he includes plenty meat. (I am a Lancs lad) Isn't the Yorkshire style where the Yorkshire puds are served up with gravy as a separate course to fill you up before the meat comes? That Sunday roast looks great.
