I thought Air Asia had changed their format anyhow, and that seating was preassigned and baggage needs sorted when booking. I certainly didn't like any 'free seating' arrangement and always paid for 'Pre-boarding' and the seats near the front. ... even though at some locations it didn't happen. I once boarded to find an orange on my seat, and many others at the front, and was surprised that Air-Asia was giving out anything free. Actually a Chinese lady had pre-boarded and was trying to reserve seats for the rest of her party as they boarded after her. Bloody cheek.

Yes I have done that...left my suitcase at left luggage in Bangkok while I did a short side trip someplace. Very convenient. Might have been when Air Asia or another budget carrier was still at Swampy though.

When you get into a discussion or argument, you shouldn't really get into it with an early sentence like this, I knew I was wasting my time reading on from here. If you don't see a any correlation you need to talk to a few bar owners and ask them why they offer it at such low prices, 1/3rd that of a bottle. And to the guy sat next to me once who made 1 draft last an age, then scrounged 10 baht off me towards the cost when he left Silver Star 2. And I gave it to him...... Not easy to get an ice cube into a bottle....we all know where those come from. There was no mention of Wobbly wanting draft drinkers to go elsewhere.

I don't think so. For me I would be happy to see these being used, certainly in preference to having to inhale someone's exhaust fumes. I also like the idea of sticking a finger up at the avaricious tax collectors. Putting a tax on these would be seen as a disincentive to a healthier option. The European Union being a classic example of interference and nanny controls........

You think you are flying to the mainland then taking a ferry to Koh Samui. Check the airport code. Nearest mainland is Surat Thani (URT).... but Samui (USM) has a perfectly fine airport with plenty of flights. Unless you fancy the adventure I wouldn't consider the ferry, it also involves a good bit of overland travel. Phuket to Samui, Bangkok Airways,

He only said it wasn't for him! And it certainly does seem to be cheap. Some places charge very little for a draft yet will hose you for a bottle of water or soft drink, it belies the fallacy that it is related to the cost price. It is so 'hit and miss' with the drafts too, some are passable, some truly awful, and they do get warm quickly.

I never fancied the transit...........Delhi is it? I read this on a review of Jet ....Not up to standard of middle-Eastern carriers, but they were cheapest tickets available at the time so can't complain. I am an old bugger...comfort becomes more of an issue than price.
