It isn't much more to use the Rung Ruen bus station on North Rd. Buses to Ekamai (Sukhumvit) or Moe Chit. They are full sized coaches and backpacks can go underneath.

Yeah I had a crown done there. Not cheap! But a modern clinic with good facilities. Dentist was a pleasant young woman and they had a Philipina receptionist that could speak good English.

It was in June 2012 that I requested it's unlocking....and I don't think it was 5 years old. O2 are still offering 'Free' expensive phones with a contract, like an IPhone5 for £32/month. This policy may vary according to the handset you have purchased. Don't forget that you'll still need to honour the remainder of the minimum term of your contract even if you place a non-O2 SIM into your phone. I used to wear these Redwing trainer types as site requirements stated steel toe caps .... Although I was mostly in the control rooms and out-and-about less frequently. Always getting into arguments with those safety morons though!

I have a retirement extension, and when I renew it each year, I immediately put a multiple exit/re-entry permit in there too. I obtain the extension in Thailand. If you are over 50...get a Non-Imm O visa in your home country.. Get a multiple if you can... that will allow you over a years stay, but oblige you to exit the country every 90 days. Apply for a retirement extension in Thailand...Put some money in the bank when you get here and look for a place to stay If you only get a single entry, you have 90 days to sort things out. A retirement visa obtained in the USA (Non-Imm O-A visa) is an alternative, but more effort to obtain, requiring a police report. These are good in that if you exit Thailand within it's validity, and you get another 1 years permission on return. (presuming visa still has not expired then too).
