  1. I can't read it but it is only 3 pages long. The manuals for smart-phones these days are usually big.
  2. You should hang on here until someone buys one in Thailand and then do a swap. I have a drawer full of manuals in Thai that would be better used to light the BBQ.
  3. I always approve of someone willing to give 110%
  4. Well thanks for the tips but after some years one picks up a few 'rules' and habits, yours amongst them. I use my arm/ hand to supplement my indicator, which is something not to be taken seriously in Thailand! I do believe in doing whatever I can to inform other road users of my intentions, but you can't beat stupidity. I was in the truck the other day and some old guy was trapped in the middle of the road with a heavy sack on his back... things were not moving much so I stopped to let him cross..... and wham, he got hit by a motorbike whizzing up my inside. Even trying to do 'right' puts you at risk here...because you are doing the unexpected!
  5. Yes of course.... if one is turning left, there is a possibility of someone trying to whiz up your inside. On the bike I stick my arm out sometimes to deter them. In the truck I feel like a buffalo being attacked by wasps.
  6. Sadly, those around them seem to suffer more visibly.
  7. If they do look left that might be part of the problem......they should look to the right. But they rarely give way, correct, and just filter on in.... more common is a large vehicle doing so with no regard to say a motorcycle oncoming. I ride a small bike here a lot, traffic levels dictate it, I am in frequent fear of a debilitating incident.
  8. Drive (24hr)
  9. I have seen a bit of evidence of falangs on the stuff too...... More likely the ya-ice that makes a person confrontational and feel invincible.
  10. The rates you can get in Thailand are here. They seem to be bank dependent rather than Pattaya dependent. If there are places in the UK that offer very similar or better rates, as Fatboyfat mentions, that is extremely interesting. Historically we have always known, better to buy your baht in Thailand! Similarly USA... tell us more, useful information. I think a guy can perhaps read here, or look on the internet, at bank rates to decide whether the 10 baht change he will have left matters when he has changed his £20 and had a beer and a blow-job. He certainly doesn't want to be wandering around 30 exchange places in Pattaya. What the rate is on a yahoo page doesn't mean shit... just a guideline of the direction it is heading. What a load of waffle...... here's to 51/£ and 33/$US.
  11. That was on Sophon only Sat or yesterday..... What on earth is the name of that Dutch actress?
  12. Liam Neeson.
  13. By answer I meant another film or actor..... to point out that another poster's answer is invalid, is not an answer, more a report of an error..OK
  14. Using the net to check someone else's answer (as you have a doubt about it) would be acceptable, providing one doesn't post an answer derived from that research still within the 24hr window.
  15. Wow, good result Cardiff.
  16. If someone looks it up after the 24hr they should be able to find a film or actor where they are actually credited. Some time back the rule was established that 'uncredited' was not acceptable..... I think a good reason came along with the rule.
  17. Donald Sutherland
  18. Robert Duvall
  19. Going the 'long way' around I bet that makes it quite a long overall journey.
  20. That would be do as I say not as I do? Someone screwed up the movies thread!
  21. Funny how the USA wants to be associated with the Americas when discussing the origins of many foods. Most of the time they want to be 'The America'..... and at the time there was no such country as USA!
  22. Don't Air Asia and the other budget carriers have a separate terminal in KL?
  23. Sidney Pollack wasn't in 'The Talented Mr Ripley!'
  24. I was in the UK from the UAE some years back and my very well paid friend was taking his new acquisition out for a spin and took us to a nice country pub in his classic Rolls Royce. On the way out we came nose-to-nose with another car on the access road and he said 'what's wrong with this cunt!'.... I said 'YOU are on the wrong side of the road'. The guy in the other car was not inclined to beep or shake a fist at a classic Rolls, perhaps he thought HRH was in there coming back from the pub!
