Hey Esco,is that close to where Lai ex-Cherry Bar had a place for a while last year?

Have't stayed but have had brekkie there a few times and liked it. However,the stairs to the toilets and bedrooms are the most uneven i've come across. Coming home pissed after a feed of beer and having to negotiate those stairs would be an accident waiting to happen for me anyway.

One thing i would say is don't walk in with your bags looking for a room that night. Last month i booked Eastiny 7 for 3 nights on the net and when i arrived i called into Flipper Lodge and said i needed a room in a couple of days time for 7 nights if i got a good price.Receptionist recognised me from previous stays and said she could give me 20 per cent off.It can depend on low/high season too of course.

EVAare still 3-3-3 tho,aren't they?

Have done it a few times,if its £150 extra return over the economy price i'll pay it but i wouldnt pay much more than that.Extra leg room,quicker disembarkation,laptop power point but same entertainment and food i think.

I just booked Flipper Lodge for 7 nights next month via their website.They've got a "stay 7 nights,pay for 5" low season rate,works out at 786bt per night.

I did this last trip flying home from BKK to LHR and was charged US$200 for the upgrade one-way.

Thanks for that,just booked a standard room for 10 days in June.That info saved me 2200 bt so if you're around next month i owe you a few beers

Flyimg AMS-BKK on 22nd Feb,returning on March 11th with Eva.Usually fly economy or Premium Economy but treated myself to Business Class for my 40th birthday 1550 euro inc. tax on Eva website.

I'm looking to fly LHR-BKK with Eva in mid-June.Prices are £469 for economy or £789 for Elite premium economy.Can anyone advise if it's worth paying the extra £320 for premium? Especially regarding seating,i'm big-boned

I got the same response from Flipper Lodge for mid-November.Tried Flipper House and they had rooms available.Would have thought that FL would recommend FH but no,had to find out for myself.
