I have recently booked to fly with qatar in july and I am really just looking some info about the flight. Is it free drink on the flight? What is the in-flight entertainment like? Is the food edible? I normally fly with Thai airways but they are just too expensive this year. Another point I would like to make is that when I arrive in Doha my next flight to Bangkok leaves 55 minutes later. Is this enough time to get checked in and onto the next flight? Thanks in advance Meatball

Python, When I fly back from BKK, I am able to check my bags right through to Belfast. I came back 2 weeks ago and asked the check-in staff could I do this and it was no problem. This is with Thai airways. I'm not sure whether or not the other companies let you do this but with Thai airways it's never been a problem.

It was just announced today that aer lingus will be setting up at belfast international airport with a route flying to Heathrow early next year. Surely now we can expect to pay more reasonable prices now that there is some competition to them robbing bastards BMI!

Just back from a month in Pattaya and the best place that I have ever eaten in since I 1st came in 2003 is Taj Mahal. Its opposite xcite disco. Got a chicken chat for starters and a lamb rogan josh with rice and garlic nan bread for main course. Along with 4 cokes and tip it cost 1000bt. It's dear compared to some places but well worth it. And the service was great too.

I've been to this place a few times and never had a bad night. I've never had anything to eat but if I remember correctly the drink is reasonably priced and the band are fantastic.
