How Do You Play the Suvarnabhumi Escalator Game?
midlifecrisis replied to tomcat76's topic in Transport in Thailand
In Taipei's airport they have moving walkways that are one direction only. They couldn't put two next to each other? One for each direction? I have never encountered the escalator issue at BKK that you mention but I do not doubt what you say. -

I still have not seen any evidence of that and I am hoping it is sooner than later also. Also, there is absolutely nothing on the SJC website regarding ANA. -

Great point! Even Soi Diana has a bunch of propositioning ladyboys often. -

When staying on LK Metro and walking thru the mall 5 or 6 times a day past the same tailor shop and being almost accosted everytime I finally confronted him with "You see me 5 or 6 times a day and i always say no. Remember my face and don't ask me again because the answer will always be no." He never did. What bothers me most about these guys - and ones on Beach Road seem the worst - are the glad-handers. I have, not too severely, slapped a few hands away and said "don't touch me" and kept walking. They are the only think I detest in LOS. There are a few in Bangkok also but the distan

You have or will have three choices. ANA is a Star Alliance member flying out of Narita and will be flying 787s to and from Seattle and San Jose. It was supposed to begin on April 1st but there was talk it might be delayed. I have no idea if it has begun yet but will be great when it does! -
Burqa's in Walking Street
midlifecrisis replied to Grahamxxx's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Correct, there is nothing in the Koran about burqas. Many of the things we negatively attribute to Islam are cultural manifestations of various regions. But, in those regions it becomes part of their religious practice because of the male control, lack of education, etc. Like female circumcision. But try to tell them otherwise... -

Chang, ty for your pvt msg response. I went to the site and it does not list either the head to head or classic league on my team page. I may be in the leagues but I cannot see that I am. As I am in a few others, I am open to leaving your league(s) if it opens a spot for someone who can see their relative standing in your leagues. Up to you sir with no hard feelings should you go that route. I don't think I could tell the difference at this point.

the classic league code is not working for me. Is it full?

Congrats to Roy McAvoy for winning the US Open
midlifecrisis replied to bigdelta's topic in Sports Talk
I do think, as with many sports, if you play or have played that particular sport you have more interest as a fan. But golf is not the sport I would pick to attend as a first choice. But then again I think American football is a better television game than most seats you can actually get a ticket for - like low corner end zone. As avid a golfer as I was in my youth and middle age, I did only attend one actual tournament and that was a celebrity pro-am. I have learned a lot by watching golf on TV - from rules to swing and putting tips. And on TV you can see all the action, especially with v
