So you need as much as a limo to attract women even in LOS? WHOA! Cracked 740 posts! Almost as much fun as the first time! And the hair? How's the blindness?

  11. Well sir, I am a Yank with no real knowledge of the game but I am learning how to play THIS game. After a poor first season I have rebounded fairly well in my second season. I look forward to a third. Congrats, Mark!

  13. For the record I agree. I have lived with knee pain since my acl reconstruction 20 some years ago but it doesn't stop me from doing things. I get fluid in the knee and it aches but i am fairly active. About thre weeks ago things changed. The knee started to lock up, the pain was 10 times as bad, the fluid never drained, etc. But my doctor wants to wait and see and I must admit that it has improved this last week. I will make a decision in about a month whether to ask the doctor to go in with a scope and clean out the joint. It feels like some debris is getting caught in the joint. Quite the bitch. At least the MRI shows relatively little arthritis and I hope I can avoid a knee replacement someday. My doctor is encouraging me to keep my weight down, strengthen the quadriceps, stretch and take anti-imflamitories. One thing I read recently is that each pound acts as four pounds of stress on the joints. I have to admit needing to drop 10 or 15 pounds.
  14. I agree. i have had 3 (arthroscopy, acl reconstruction, arthroscopy) knee surgeries and am looking at a 4th arthroscopy. I live in a second floor apartment and was concerned but was told I will be able to bear weight but it will be tender because the quadriceps do lose some strength immediately. But the knee should be stable and i can get up and down the stairs. I also plan to wear the brace from my acl reconstruction that I used in physical therapy and walking for stability. Doctors can differ though in what they allow post op.

  19. Pun is really sweet and fun... I wish her English had been better last year when I was there. I always barfined her and Ann together. Does anyone know what became of Ann? She was sweet! My only negative memory of Pun was when she bought the grubs off off the insect vendor and brought the bag back to RGI. What a sickening sweet smell. Didn't stop me from enjoying the night time. Adam, tell Pun that Norm from last March wishes her all the best, please!
  20. Sounds like when belief systems get confused with reality. This is cute on an individual basis but scary when it becomes a political movement.
  21. And if you can't read Thai the honking and beeping behind you will clue you in to what the sign says!
  22. Well, as soon as my scan hit the lower left quadrant it was obvious. I scanned from top left to top right to bottom right to bottom left. If I had started bottom left it would have been almost instantaneous - this is pretty easy. It would be slightly tougher if you said - what doesn't belong? But it is not that well hidden. "Find Waldo" is tougher. Looking at it again the doctor's are full of shit. If you scan normally, the scan could take possibly four seconds - one second in each quadrant if you aren't rushed - just being casual. Which quadrant you start in affects the amount of time needed. I do not see the man looking dead center. So if you start there, 5 seconds. On this somebody is going to judge normal brain development? Give me a break. Cute and fun but hardly scientific. I think somebody is justifying their job.
