Do you get people handing our cards at the entrance to Premiership and other games for Englands next ficture(s) ? We get them at Griffin Park before England Games, to show special offers. Funny, before the W.Cup, you couldn't get a ticket for Wembley to see them play, now they are offering cheap tickets. A little bit of fan power ? My nephew went last night and was well pissed off. That German Ref' didn't help much either. They are in Thailand next June.

But I for one, am enjoying the moment.

That rain in Wales in October, must have come as a bit of a surprise eh ? Golf does have something in common with football. Those running it, seem just as inept as the FA.

Red Sox owners pledge to remove Liverpool's debt

I hope they have a translator on hand to talk to the fans ! -
The Scots, Welsh and Irish have always been united- just not against the Americans. Now you'l get LDR talking about a British football team ! How can you compare Golf to Football ? Golf, like darts, fishing and snooker, is a pastime, or to put it anothewr way- a good walk wasted. Well done to the chaps anyway. A win, is a win.

At least they haven't got Everton fans gloating at their demise. I have to say a good word about Birmingham City ( sorry Villa) but they are being very generous with the Cup game against Brentford this month. Entrance to the match for Brentford Season ticket holders is £3 for seniors/ juniors and £5 for others. £5 for any senior and £10 for others. I think that is a nice gesture, or they want to humiliate as many Londoners as possible !

If the England W.C efforts are a guide to Premiership football, something is wrong with it, or the players. Evertons recent visit to Griffin Park, left me with the impresion that their players were not really up for it. Perhaps it was post WC fatigue for them too ? Some attractive football, but not outstanding. As mentioned before, the Gaffer has possibly 'lost the dressing room'. Wayne Rooney's efforts of shooting inside the box, in the bedroom, were not matched on the field in SA. He is being 'rested' a bit.

It was Hollywood stuff, even Vic would have liked it. Goal down in 5minutes, equalisere just before half time- missed penalty- extra time- Jermain Beckford has a penalty saved and their next one hits the post- pitch invasion...... Just four of their players cost more than our stadium, team and snack bar, put together. Fans actually sponser players kit at Brentford. Oh and we own the club too. As it says on our programme - Real fans- Real Football. I think Moyes has lost the dressing room.

Everton are going to have to pick themselves up, after we knock them out of the cup next Tuesday week. Oo - R - Ya ?

Those bookies are really giving you a good return eh ? Is it not better to bet on your team in another country, to get better odds ? The more who bet on your team the lower the returns- they can't lose !

Flights are looking expensive for January.
nidnoyham replied to pattaya_mad's topic in Airline Discussion
Try prices for BKK-LHR-BKK. It will make flights ex LHR seem very reasonable. Ex pats traveling home are hit pretty bad. -
What price did you get for your prediction at the bookies ?

By seeing what 'makes us tick' I think you mean, come here to discover the meaning of culture. Rolf Harris is an institution here. Saw him at Heathrow once. He had time to chat to every nipper that came up to him, unlike some 'celebrities' I saw there.

One big factor in England hosting the 2018 World Cup. By then, half the bleeding world will be living here. Think of all that traveling it will save. Our carbon footprint will shrink out of sight !

Tonight will be a breath of fresh air for me. Brentford have a testimonial match ( 10 years at the club ) for our captain Kevin O'Connor, against Fulham. £5 (240bht) at the gate for over 60's, £12 for others. £2 for a programme and Kevin O'Connor will sign one of them. Whoever buys that one, gets a prize. The rain has stopped, the flag is in my pocket and the scarf ready to wear. My Freedom Pass for the train and off we go. Rooney ? Who's he ?
-
The weather tomorrow, may save the Aussies. Now I see why they wanted to play here !
-
If the Dutch played like that against Spain. What would a game against Germany have been like ? Dirtiest team I've seen, since Paul Ince brought the MK Dons to Griffin Park this year.

England is a sensible place to play any neutral test match. You can be sure of a good crowd from any country to be well supported here. Even if the natives don't go to watch, there will be plenty of support for the two teams, from the 'locals'. A Test match for you, a money spinner for us- everyone's a winner ! Except the losing side of course. Only thing we can't supply, is the bloody weather, its shite today.
-
If you go, you can borrow my England flag ! Or have you already adopted a team to support ?

At least he's not hanging about on street corners. Perhaps it's a new diet incentive ? The less you weigh, the less it hurts ?

Think of the sponsorship deal he could get from Nike- Gola- Adidas- Dunlop.........
-
A hundred quid ? - A hundred ? Are you mad ? I'd want a house and a horse and cart for a hundred quid ! I wish you hadn't told me that. Now, I know how much I wanted to be sitting next to you, when Gerrard's goal went in after 4 min's. Darn, I might have paid a hundred quid for that ! Well, I can't help with that much, but I do cook a fair Khao phad gai. How do you like it ? Pet ? Mai pet ? I will keep an eye on Loch Lomond, don't like golf, but what a setting.

And England lost in hope that Budweiser ( shieser ) and Macdonalds would withdraw sponsorship for the next W.C.

Zip ties to secure your bags?
nidnoyham replied to SmellyFarang's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I wouldn't be so sure about them preventing theft while checked in with an airline. Any barrier between your goods and a thief is a deterrent. Speed is the essence for a Tea leaf, so they will go for the easy option, unless they think the contents are valuable. I chose a backpack with a rain cover that covers the side pockets and main zip. not a big thing, but still more work for the pilferer, who would choose one that is uncovered.
