Not too shabby. 2 of my 3 DNS Servers have been up now for 400+ days (The other gets a bit strange if I let it go more then a few months between reboots), but the rest of my servers I take thru a weekly reboot. Windows servers just dont do all that well with old age lol. One good thing about *nix servers - very few memory leaks :) Frosty

Some people dont like confrontation. I understand that perfectly, though I would have preferred a more direct approach from his point, I do understand him not wanting to go that route. As to the warning, I do think it is valid.... I have other information that confirms that this type of thing IS happening at Secrets at the moment, either without the knowledge of management or with their approval... tho I doubt the latter. I like secrets, but I dont like secrets enough to cover up a truth like this (if it is indeed the truth). Frosty

I know Cebual ... and I dont believe he would make this up. Further, dont go assuming that he knows everything you know. You dont need to "justify" his post... he has already done that. I think its perfectly legitimate to warn people of behavior like this, and I cant for the life of me figure out why some people have a problem with being warned of a potential problem? true to a point... but then, I am fairly sure Cebual had no idea who larry is or was, so his posting here was all he thought about... I applaud him for it personally, because I suspect he is correct... after the conversations I have had with my hostess friend from secrets. If it IS true, then it needs to be outed here so people know to watch their asses... thats what this board is all about. If its not true, the truth will come out here... again, one of the reasons for the board. I personally like Secrets... and have barfined from there several times without problems, but I have never barfined someone "new"... I have always taken ladies I knew before - usually from FLB lol. ok... so to add to this story a little.... One of the secrets hostesses, whom shall remain nameless lol, has been a friend of mine since she worked at FLB some 3 years back. She told me about a month ago that there were several girls at secrets that would .... cheat customers. I use the word cheat because I dont know what other word to use lol. She told me that there are a few there that will agree to go LT and almost always end up back at the bar before the night is over, and one that waits until she gets to the room to tell her barfine that she is on the rag... which she usually isnt. She told me these things 3 or 4 weeks ago when we were just sitting and chatting.... but it sounds like exactly what is being described here by Cebual. I find it hard to believe that such activity has not been caught and dealt with by the Management.... and even harder to believe that management would knowingly allow such activity... but it sounds as if either one or the other are the case. If any of the secrets staff read this.... lets hope they put a foot down and stop the games... or they will end up in the gutter of "bad bars" that nobody wants to go to. Frosty

I have to agree with this one... When I first started coming to Thailand, Buffalo bar was top notch... one of the better places to go. the last few months has seen that go down hill very fast... Now I dont bother much anymore. Its just not worth the trip. Frosty

The place has always been known as one of the more expensive in Pattaya. Its not my thing tho, so I havn't checked it out... BUT I have not heard any negitive reviews on it either, so... if your in to that type of thing, its probably a good night out. Frosty

It depends on what you consider a "bad club". As was pointed out, bad policies will eventually change - either due to loss of business or change of management. Either can completely change a club. There are a number of minor things that some people just cant stand, however, that might make you mark a place as bad. Take for example: Oasis agogo on Soi Buakhow. Personally I like the place... but they have one very bad habit that gets on nerves. They have ladydrinks at 95 baht, and lady "cocktails" for 130. When you order a lady DRINK, it WILL be a cocktail, unless you specifically tell them NO COCKTAIL. 100% of the time, with no exceptions. I sat in there one night for about 3 hours watching, and every lady drink I saw delivered was a cocktail. I personally dont mind, as I will just tell them NO COCKTAILS, but it is a bit of a pain as it starts out the meeting (with the lady) on a slightly negative note. Always a bad thing. If I really like the girl tho, ill just let her get a cocktail lol. There are a number of other places that do similar things... but I dont know that I care to compile a list, as not every "problem" will be a problem to everyone. Its all YMMV. Frosty

/Agree with Jacko. Come to FLB... someone there will invite ya along and show you what places will likely cause issues... then take you in those places lol. I will do it myself if nobody else is around. If your with someone they know or have seen, you wont see a problem. the problem is that there are a number of Indian tourists that are notorious cheap charlies - like buying one beer between 4 of them and trying to get the girls to go with ALL of them (one after the other) for 1000 baht lol. (True story! - well... I was TOLD its a true story LOL). You wont see that attitude from Falang owned or managed places I dont think, and many of the best gogo's on WS are falang owned or managed. Can't tell you about Sunshine, but as far as what to do at 3:30-4am ... thats easy. Insomnia Discotech. their new location is on walking street just past FLB... you cant miss it that time of night - it will be the one with the huge group of people out front and all sorts of girls going in. At 3am it starts to fill up (when the girls get off work) and by 4:30 its packed... stays that way till 6am or so, then trickles down to around 8am or so. There are several short time rooms in walking distance, and the girl(s) you pick will know them. Hope this helps, Frosty

You know... its funny.... but the VIP rate is more then most non-happy hour rates for Draft Chang :) I dont drink draft, so I usually dont look at prices, but I just happend to notice in Sisterz last night the draft chang price is 45 baht in happy hour, 59 after happy hour, and I have noticed similar prices several places. Granted most places dont have full time lez shows... but still! > I like windmill... but it is overpriced a bit, and its not even close to "hassle free" lol. Haya Guys, I was again honored today by being asked to perform the photography for the Baby Dolls Scramble hosted by Callum of Sonar Golf, and sponsored by Baby Dolls Agogo (Soi 15 / Walking Street) and Secrets. We had a nice round 28 golfers show up for a wonderfully fun (and slightly wet) day out at Siam Country Club's new 27 hole course. My grand total of pictures this haul was a whopping 2398 - but the vast majority of those were burst fired trying for some good action shots, and it will take me a couple days to go thru them all and weed out the useless ones..... now as we just landed back in pattaya about a hour ago, I have not had time to do that yet - but I did pick out a number of great images that I wanted to get in place before the party tonight. I was lucky enough to be the official photographer for this years RideHer Cup event, and while it will take me a day or 3 to sort thru most of the pictures I took, here are a few of the highlights of todays games. Thanks Jacko, As to Penang, they might very well be offering flight packages there... I dont know. I only looked at the packages for Vientien, as I have read several places that Penang (as well as most other regional embassy's) were begining to refuse 60 day tourist visas. I solved my issue... but first, let me tell you what my issue was lol. I called several of the visa outfits, and without exception they ALL wanted me to sit in a cramped minivan for the ride to Vientien, Laos (10+ hours each way). None of the services offered plane, train or any other (better/faster) mode of transport. (train is not faster, but more comfortable). Sooo... I decided to just hop a plane to Udon Thani and wing it. (hoping to find a visa service there to continue the trip). While sitting at the airport, I googled on my phone and found a outfit called Nong Khai Travel - I called the guy and he agreed to meet me at the border and handle all the paperwork, bribes, hotel, travel etc for 2000 baht (which included him picking me up at the bridge or the airport, drive in to Laos to the hotel, and pick up and return to the udon airport with the visa). We did run in to a small hitch that wasted a day... I was late getting there. But all in all it went very smooth - he took care of everything and I sat back and did nothing in the VERY BORING vientien for 2 days. I cant find his darn website now, but I will find it and edit this post with it for anyone interested. Frosty

The problem with these visa's is that you either have to be Married, Over 50 years of age or Lie about why you are here. Unless I am missing something? (If so, please enlighten me!). I am 33 years old (34 tomorrow, funnily enough), and while I do plan to get an ED visa, there are reasons I dont want to get it just yet (and its limited to 3 years anyway). So if you know of a foolproof way I can get a O visa or some other, please let me know... Frosty
