  1. Do you think that the 'informant' will at least get an ass kicking from the BIB for wasting their time & looking stupid?
  2. http://scansnax.nu/scansnaxeng.html Page says they have agents in Pattaya.
  3. I have never had (or been asked for) a script, although I haven't visited for a few years. Obviously I don't front up to Booths, but rather a no name pharmacy like cnr soi 3/2nd road. Are they asking for scripts now??
  4. EDIT I will ask this question in members rather than here
  5. Here's a thought... Become a little bit active on a pattaya board. (Post more than once!) Post some links, some pictures, some discussion of your properties... Put them out there!
  6. It was supposed to be this (not me, LOL): https://vine.co/v/hdXqq3a5Le9/embed

  8. (Bad luck that Mrs Dancewatcher comes up Number 1 in a Google image search of 'thai room maid')

  9. One of my visits coincided with the crossing just being installed. The ones in front of Big C and Central Festival had all the drivers confused and if you stood nearby for a few minutes you would see bikes and cars sail through with the occasional turn of the driver's head as they realised they had just gone through a red light. Then they seemed to turn off all the red pedestrian lights and it was a matter of luck as to what drivers did when they saw you. Future visits I avoid the crossings and have gone back to simply crossing the road at a spot where I have a good view of the traffic in both directions. I wonder how many will be injured or killed before they remove them?
  10. Looks good. I could go a feed of that right now.
  11. As You Mature, It's The Little Things That Don't Seem To Matter As Much As They used To! This chick looked at my beer belly last night and sarcastically said, "Is that Corona or Bud?" I said, "There's a tap underneath; taste it and find out." I mean, when you are over sixty, who gives a shit? I was talking to a girl in the bar last night. She said, "If you lost a few pounds, had a shave and got your hair cut, you'd look all right." I said, "If I did that, I'd be talking to your friends over there instead of you." When you are over sixty, who gives a shit? I was telling a girl in the pub about my ability to guess what day a woman was born just by feeling her boobs. "Really" she said, "Go on then...try." After about thirty seconds of fondling she began to lose patience and said, "Come on, what day was I born?" I said, "Yesterday." When you are over sixty, who gives a shit? I got caught taking a piss in the local swimming pool today. The lifeguard yelled at me so loud, I nearly fell in. When you are over sixty, who gives a shit? I went to the pub last night and saw an obese chick dancing on a table. I said, "Great legs." She giggled and said with a smile, "Do you really think so?" I said, "Definitely! Most tables would have collapsed by now." Honestly, when you are over sixty, who really gives a shit? (Source unknown)
  12. One important point for you... have you had any extended breaks in the last few years? I don't mean 2 week trip, but 3 - 6 months breaks where you plant yourself somehwere? I've had a few 3 month breaks in the last few years. I could do a modest retirement right now, but my last 3 month break had me climbing the walls! (So I found a 1 year work contract and back at work right now.) Jacko is right, it is about how you approach it. I will be planning my next go at retirement a little better...
  13. Never used the status update before.

  14. Nothing for me.
  15. And one last one... For those who have never thought outside the box and suffer half cooked steak because they think it is the only way to keep it tender... CUT IT THINNER!!! I take the standard thick fillet and stand it on its edge and slice it through like a breadroll. It ends up about as thick as your finger. It will grill to perfection... a little brown on the outside, cooked all the way through and melt in your mouth. When did the whole world stop thinking for itself?
  16. PS this may blow your mind... I drink whatever alcohol I fucking feel like regardless of what the dish is
  17. I wouldn't know, I have only ever been to places that give me what I order. I guess I need to go to a really top restaurant to not get what I want. Yes, I can see your point...
  18. I think I sort of agree with GM. The OP pictures of the meal don't do much for me. Slices of raw tomato and onion (while healthy) don't make a salad. Creamed spinach is best left for your indian saag and chicken. (Freshly steamed spinach with a little garlic would tempt me). At $50/$70 whatever the final price, I want the CHOICE of it being cooked to my preference (which is well done, I dislike uncooked meat) so they can fuck off on that score alone. A good chef can cook a steak well done, not burnt on the outside, cooked all the way through and still have it tender and juicy. PS I find my $39.99 per kilo fillet steak from Woolworths butchers is pretty bloody good (no pun intended) and after this discussion is looking like the decision for din dins tonight EDIT PPS the chips do look pretty good though.
  19. I visited there about 17 years ago. I never drove there, but got driven around. I couldn't believe how everyone ignored road rules. To watch the lights at a major intersection change and see traffic from all directions just continue to stream through each other was amazing. They all seemed to just drive in their own little bubble, looking for anyone within about 6 foot in front of them, otherwise oblivious to everything around them.
  20. Shift Steve... my bar interior is the Welkom Inn in Soi 3. You pic does look to to be the same interior.
  21. Deleted (I must be drunk!)
  22. The first one is that new hotel built on the corners of 2nd road, soi 2 and soi 3. Destroyed that wonderful little group of bars in Soi 2 to do it. I know what you mean about old stuff in bars. 20 years ago there was a bar called (from memory) the anzac bar and hotel (it was located next to what became CATS bar in the boystown area, just around the corner from the original classroom. It was owned by an aussie and he had various vietnam war paraphenilia and pictures, a bit of the bar looked like something out of a NSW bar from the 60s. The owner must have been 'a bit of a lad' as on about my 3rd visit to Patts, I found out he had just died... seems some old acquaintance had turned up, been refused a loan and knifed him.
  23. That is Central Festival.
