stevoman, it was partially on your advice I stayed there and I thank you for that. Can you tell me what the prick from storms "baby of the millnium" is about ? If that twat moved from the place I would stay again next trip. How many times did the sliding door to the balcony fall out with you ? or was it me being heavy handed ? Is the girl called NEE from route 69 still staying there ? I use a memory foam mattress at home so the mattress did seem a bit rigid,although I did not sleep much for various reasons .

Stayed in june, very big room around 700 baht, the room I stayed in was the corner room on the 1st floor in the pic above. Jeff, the owner is a good guy and will always try to help you. He was at the time looking for somebody to run the place for him since by his own admission guesthouse management is not really his game. I had planned to stay for 2 1/2 weeks but the bar owner across the road seemed to have a problem with everybody and kept blearing out music until 5 am, it was if he was trying to upset everyone it would be dead quiet for 40 secs then the music came on f

I`ve used the restaurant for brekfast in the past, but I think a better option if you want a buffet style breakfast is the Diana inn just up the road. The eggs are done any style to order in front of you, and the eating area is more comfortable with good air con . I would not consider staying at the Apex when for only a few hundred baht more you can get a far better place.

a little off topic but anyone that wants to fly Gatwick / Phuket can get a very good deal with thomsonfly. The problem is they only have 1 flight per week in either direction monday GAT-PHU tuesday PHU-GAT. Just checked some random dates and you can get a return inc taxes for around £300.. I used them a couple of times to phuket about 8/9 years ago and they are ok for the price. eyecplUK, it may be worth your while flying to phuket first.

For at least the last 3 years Thai and BA/QANTAS have brought prices down in the 2nd week of jan. I am waiting until then to book my next flights for the end of january and may. Paid £420inc taxes last year with Thai. If you go back to the january posts in this section of the forum you can see what the deals were then. However there can be no guarantee that those prices will be repeated. Good luck.

Great insight and very funny posts. Enjoyed the food at your place whilst staying around the corner at the cock and bull last trip and will return. I prefer to stay in your area and I am may well stay at the Jasmine Mansion next trip. But with all the great reviews you are receiving I may struggle to get a room, I`ll have to get my arse in order and will make a reservation as soon as I confirm the flight dates. I hope you keep up the hotel diary, I for one look forward to the next entery.

O K digs and nothing else, a lot better places in the price bracket are available if you can be bothered to look. Good basic English food but way over Pattaya price rates. Why do these type of bars think thy are above other place and can charge twice the price for very similar food ? Answer, stupid falangs not knowing the score ,

My mate wants to take his 16 year old daughter to phuket for a couple of weeks. But he intends to stay there while she returns home, could somebody please tell me at what age airlines let youngsters travel alone, it will be a direct flight and somebodyat both ends to send/meet her.

blueeyes, great pics mate. If you are in the soi Lk metro area could you take a few shots of the soi. Although I have been coming to pattaya off and on since 1989 I have never there but I intend to stay in the soi on my up coming trip in 26 days. It would be nice to get a feel of the area before i arrive. Cheers.

Will be landing @ the airport 06.05 on 18th june since I travel light with no checked in luggage I should have cleared customs by 06.40, if anyone is also arriving around that time and heading straight to Pattaya let me know.

stayed last june for 2 weeks,no deposit asked for or paid. Only 3 of the rooms had guests the rest were empty.

I do not mind a extra few hundred baht DT if it going to save me 45mins eachway to and from Pattaya in the taxi.

ben , you will find if you go to the authentic dealers that eddy35 talks about they all will have changing rooms. The Jeep shop on the 2nd floor of RGP has some real good deals. I bought a pair of trousers there last year for 1900baht (£27) the exact same style in the Jeep shops in the UK was £70. They have some nice shoes there also around 1/2 UK prices.

Can anyone recommend a hotel around 2500 baht near the eden club on soi 7/1. I know the hotel review section has a Bangkok category but i am not very familiar with bangkok and would not know if the hotels are near or far from the eden club. Cheers.
