  1. Will have to "head" home for them dates
  2. Some pics?? and to clarify, are they yours or are they agency
  3. If you are married and want to buy a condo, good for you, you will need to make sure of the area, location, management costs etc. But - just my two cents worth. If you are married to a Thai lady and have any doubts about what happens if........... Then be prepared to buy your condo with what you can afford to lose and not shed a tear over it. If you dont have any doubts over your relationship , then buy your condo and enjoy. You should put it in your name if you are worried about any of the process and then put it in your "will" who you would leave it to
  4. You could try www.pattayashipping.com a tennant of mine used this company to send all his furniture etc back to South Africa and he said they were the cheapest and did a good job
  5. I was under the impression that Utapao was used during high season with "some" airlines like Korean Air and Fin Air are using this airport.
  6. When you have the visa, you will have to report to the immigration office in Jomtien every 90 days, if you want to leave Thailand for whatever reason, you have to get a re entry stamp from the immigration office. If you want to come to Thailand for longer stays at a time and still work back in the USA for a few months each year, i think you would be better to get a 1 year Non O Multi entry, that way you have no reporting every 90 days, but do have to leave Thailand every 90 days / (can do border runs easily) and you dont need to get the re entry stamp each time. And each time you re enter Thailand, they stamp you for 90 days. At 363 days into this visa, you can do a border run and get another 90 days, hence making the 12 months effectivley 15 months.
  7. The Shenaneghans doa friday night special on ribs, eat all you want for about 295 baht, and they are good ribs
  8. Its priced ok and should attract an offer, i have a two bed two bath condo right on the beach in that area and its rented long term for 35k a month. This is a good condo and the price is ok
  9. Been there and done that last year with a very big bill at the end of the night.......ouch!!
  10. I would never use an airline run by Indians or Pakis, they cant do anything right and always its done as cheaply as possible,
  11. Best steak i ever had was in Patricks Belgium restaurant in the arcade on the corner of soi Diana and 2nd road, and yes the worst was in Houston last year ata some kind of Texan Steak house
  12. Good luck with that, let us know how it goes
  13. Most travel agents will offer you transport to either for about 600 baht one way to Kho Chang, i am not aware of Kho Chang near Sri Racha
  14. He will need a Non Immigrant O visa, this will help with opening bank account also, he will need 800k in the bank and the rest is easy. Pattaya immigration does have a website to explain the process on how to obtain visas etc (sorry dont know it) but of course - dont forget some good medical insurance He can get the O visa either in USA or take a trip to Laos and get it over night. That is unless they will now accept the 30 day on arrival and convert from that. Jacko would be a good one to chip in on this one
  15. Last November me and the missus spent a night in the Blues Factory and i thought she would not like it........ We have to go there everytime now when we are home, she loves the place
  16. Absolutely on the money with this post, Nigel used to work for a premiership football team in the UK and he knows his stuff, i have visited him also , had similar experiences and i have never felt better about my lower back
  17. Jacko, just my two cents worth, as this bar is so close to Kinarree and realistically in competition with them. I would have posted the promotion more clearly and stated what the girls want for ST (as Gabor asked). I would then have posted pictures of the girls seperately to show what is "on offer for your baht" i know some like em big and some like em small, but this is poorly executed and "just my two cents" has not a lot of hope in bringing guys in if this is the way he advertises, i hope i am wrong. But each to their own
  18. So please explain the pricing structure more clearly please. I have to buy one cocktail and then order a room for 700 baht, you give me a bill for 820 baht and then deduct the 700 baht from the bill? How much are the girls looking for? Not much i hope looking at them, some chunckies in there
  19. Much depending on your budget, there is a bar called Lewinskies in south pattaya land 13/2 and there is another bar called Caddy shack between 3rd rd and threppasit road,
  20. i bought a LG aircon unit for the house and it failed after 4 months, they had to replace the circuit board inside, total crap product
  21. No, do not mention the Crazy - it will give you the shits Daves. You can get a decent brekkie at the Pig and Whistle for 120 baht. If you have to come to Pattaya and worry about having to pay for the cheapest possible breakfast, you should have stayed at home FFS or brought your own Cornflakes
  22. That "Western breakfast" looks like total shite, it would come out of my arse the way it looks on the plate. Cheap and ok breakkie, Jimmy Macs on soi 6 - 99 baht
  23. Yes, or if you have enough points on your star alliance card
  24. Difficult if you cant get one from TukCom, try the Kodak shop on 2nd road opposite the entrance to soi 7. The Thai man in there has a really good knowledge about cameras and usually has a few spares etc, he may not have it, but he may know better than anyone else where you may get it from.
