  1. Thanks for posting pictures of the newgirlfriends and the future wife This thread was about were you want to be when you reach retirement age and now we can see the kind of ladies you want to share your somtam with and that will spend all day on a bench with them.
  2. Thanks for continuing to threadfuck just as you always do. Simply put, you are dreaming and yes you are a loser, you are dreaming that these girls are your friends lol, you may think otherwise, but another few months will tell lol, i cant wait. Keep on posting. You are a bored and lonely man
  3. Yes you can, mine is higher than that, there is a limit per transaction, if that is not enough for you to withdraw, you can withdraw again to meet your limit. but at BKK Bank, i can withdraw more notes than you are stating.
  4. Jacko, did you know that you will have a ATM withdrawal limit and a spend limit on your accounts, dont matter what bank you are with. You got to go into the bank or on line to increase them both
  5. Jacko Thanks for sharing that, i am sure that i dont never want to have a bar, i am not that kind of person who can put that kind of effort into running a buisness in Thailand. I can see many problems with running any kind of buisness - so its not for me. Its the events over the last 5 years that really made me thnk about this topic in the first place and had made me think more seriously about how much etc. I dont think any two people would have the same answers as to how much etc - to be financially secure. But i honestly wish everyone all the best to reach their goals for retirement. Mike
  6. One of the honest few!! fair play to you and good luck
  7. I wish you well, you seem to have thought it out and have an idea what you want. thanks for sharing
  8. Good reply, you could kinda have your cake and eat it,
  9. And im sure you would be very successful if you had good customers who dont complain about the costs of BF and ST and the price of drinks Especially the ones waiting for the "wonder"
  10. Yes, you have not said anything positive about yourself or what you would like to happen in your sad loser life in the future, other to continue to be........a loser. Waiting for the "scene or the wonder" lol
  11. To be honest, you sound bored with your life already
  12. id like you to look this thread up and answer it again in another 6 months time. You will get bored after another few months of this way of life. I like to keep busy and keep my mind active on what ever i like to do - mostly trying to help others less fortunate. It is absolutley pathetic to read your reply about becoming a stranger. You may wake up one moring and realise there is more to Thailand beyond Sukomvit Rd. You may also wake up and realise the girls you see are only with you for the paltry sum you give them, not just for the free somtam
  13. Im a little curious to see what BMs would like to happen when they reach either retirement or have managed to reach a financially secure situation were they can choose to basically retire. Would you retire to Thailand or would you stay in your home country and just holiday to Thailand. If you found yourself fairly comfortable in Thailand, would you invest your wealth in a Hotel, Bar, Guesthouse etc. Before you go off on how silly it is to run a bar in Thailand, there are some good news stories on this e.g FLB, BabyDolls, Mistys and for the Hotels and guest houses you have places such as RG, Tropical Bets, Queen Vic etc. I am just asking for your thoughts if you have made any kind of plans as to what you would like to do when you reach a certain time in life. Some i know live in Thailand quite happily on a regualr income and live very happily. I also know that everyone would have different budgets, so not everyone will have the same goals. I can see the need to keep yurself busy and your mind active, i know one guy who has a 60 room apartment building with a few shops that are all rented. It generates a great income each month, yet he has some major headaches to deal with. I think to run a bar, hotel or guesthouse takes a certain type of buisness minded individual and is not for me. Thanks for your input. Mike
  14. If you dont have an existing account, a letter of residense is sufficient from immigration to open a foreign currency account. You may need the letter of residense to open the existing account also, but some recent posters have been able to open an account without the letter. Bear in mind, each bank has its own figure of how much money you need to have (foreign) to open that account. I used SCB as they said "none" at the time of opening the account. Bangkok bank said $5000. So ask questions if you are looking into this as they all had different costs involved in changeing your money also.
  15. I have a Bangkok Bank account, it was easy and i go the ATM cards that same day, you do pay 200 baht for the card. I have internet access and Bangkok Bank also have branches in the USA.
  16. Go the SCB along 2nd rd and look at the two really fir looking girls who work on the desks, ask for Bic, she is really fit, long hair and very good at her job in the bank, she opened my foreign currency account. Let me know what you think of Bic and Pui lol
  17. Sure , if he wants the shits
  18. I opened a foreign currency account at SCB and i had to have a letter from immigration to do so. There are some terms and conditions etc, but generally you can. You will find a varying difference from bank to bank, e.g some banks will want a minimum amount to open the account but SCB was the winner for me with the lowest commision on exchange.
  19. lol, i guess that was JKs attempt at humor
  20. Sometimes i wonder if you and JK are one and the same person.
  21. Why would you say something so stupid? You still hate all Brits
  22. I thought with terminal 5 - it was Heathrow. Heathrow certainly seems to have a plane leave every 20 seconds and at times, have one leave at the same time one arrives
  23. 39 minutes, Shrek scores from the penalty spot, 2nd attempt
  24. 0 - 2 Wellbeck for United - great goal
  25. You had better go to Weatherspoons then
