  1. Not a problem if you file your tax return each year and pay the taxes due. And, so long as the Title papers is in your possession - it cant be used to borrow money against it. Thailand does have some draconian laws but you may get fleeced - but only if you are silly enough not to follow them and get a good lawyer to start with.
  2. I wonder just how many people are attending. I live about 2 miles from the course and don't see any increase in traffic at any time during the morning.
  3. Thais eat in places like this and places like Mum Aroi. I recently went to Mum Aroi and there was 4 of us in the group. We had Stinky fish and crabs (crabs being the expensive item)along with some fried vegetables, BBQ prawns, chicken and cashew nuts. Our bill came to 2600 baht including 2 large bottles of beer. I noticed a few days back that the local Somchai selling the spit roast chicken on the side of the road is now charging 150 baht for a chicken. Seems that everything has/is going up.
  4. Im not having a pop at you Papps, but this clearly shows you have not been to Thailand for a long time. Things like food, fuel, beer etc have gone up a lot in price over the last 18 months. This price EP quoted for what he and his friends had is reasonable.
  5. That is for one person and if you can eat in in less than 1 hour, its free + about 50k goes to charity. No one has done it yet.
  6. Told you it was a piece of cake lol
  7. Yes, you would be correct. The BKK/Pattaya hospital has 3 levels of charging people for the same treatment. 1) Highest is for anyone with insurance, they literally rape the insurance companies. 2) Any foreigners, holidays or expats with no insurance. 3) Then along way down the list is local Thai people. My neighbor at my house near the hospital is a consultant there for the foreign people who use the hospital and he told me this himself
  8. Gonzo, they sell them in Tuk Com in Pattaya, I bought a Chinese version for 4000 baht and it works perfectly well. I take it back every 6 months and the guy updates the maps for me free of charge. He has the originals if you want them also. 4th floor
  9. Don't forget to take photos and passport etc, they can usually take care of everything for you in the little shop in the corner while you wait outside for a few 100 baht. They can take your photos there for you also.
  10. You will need a letter of residence from immigration and a copy of your passport + license. You can take it to any motor bike shop and they can do it all for you.
  11. One of my favorite actors Jacko Schindlers List
  12. Yes it is, they are making good progress and it looks like it will be a big hospital
  13. Yes and maybe take a few 1000 away from the monopoly that the BKK/Pattaya has on this place.
