Thanks Sam, I went round to try to talk to one of them and ask them if they would have the wall moved back about 2 feet. The wife said ok, but her husband (English) is out and will be back later. Lets see what happens. I rang a mate of mine who is pretty good at this kind of thing having worked in real estate here in Thailand for many years and his reply was the same as yours. Sorry to hear what happened to your pal.

Does anyone know what the Thai law says about party walls between properties. I have two neighbors who at each others throats about one who is having a maids room built in the front corner of his garden. The roof will lean over the party wall and then have a gutter system installed but it will almost lean over in to one neighbors garden. Should all of the construction be completely over one side or is it allowed to lean over ? Anyone know.

Nice hotel and a nice pool, I think good value for what you paid.

Can you claim it back

I did the same as you and then asked them for a print out for the months that had been consolidated. They printed it out for me no problems.

Yes they will, just go in and ask them, they will give you a print out of any month from any year you have had an account. You can try updating your book, but if it has been a while since last time, it may skip a few months and just bunch up the total transactions into one line. If this is not enough info for you, they will give you a complete print out of the time since last update.

Alcohol, sex and party on Pattaya beaches
bigmick replied to chouttoumatte's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
You will get a free pair of bracelets from the police and a heavy fine depending on how much the police think you are worth. In short, don't do it here in Pattaya as the locals can and will take offence - and your valuable's while you are in the water -

Motorcyle & Bicycle rental recommendation.
bigmick replied to Mikl777's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
You can rent a motor bike from a guy on this forum called "Pool hustler" he advertises a delivery and collection service any where in Pattaya and has had good reviews. You can use your own helmet, no one really cares about what type of helmet you use. I have seen many using construction hard hats and bicycle helmets on motor bikes. Be sure to carry your license with you always. That said, it don't matter if the police stop you, they will tell you your license is not valid, but do not worry, they just want a few hundred baht tea money. -
One of the things I really like about EPs food/restaurant reports are to remind some of us (me) of where I once enjoyed great food at a reasonable price. I have not been to this place for a few years, but most certainly will within the next few days.

There is a auto body shop along Sukhomvit - head south and just past the floating market - take the next u turn and then take a left almost opposite the floating market - go down the road about 700tards and its opposite a small resort type place. They did a few repairs for me a few months back and they did a great job. Sorry I don't have the name, but it is quite a big place.

Thai workmen, is it ever a good idea to let them in?
bigmick replied to jacko's topic in Expat Issues
I have a Thai man come round once a fortnight with a couple of his employees and they work for about 1 - 2 hours on the garden cutting the grass/trimming trees/trimming edges etc and I pay them 500 baht per visit. They do an excellent job and always on time and clean up after them selves every time. Let me know if you want their number
