I had good luck with a dentist named Dr. Bongkotrat (Dr Bee). She did two crowns for me a couple of years ago and I'm happy with the work. All in all it cost about 25000 baht (about 750 USD). If you're looking for a place to get this done, try Avenue Shopping Center on 2nd road across from Soi 13, second level just below the movie theater. I think its 100 baht. I haven't done this, mostly because it seems inherently dangerous. I someone does this with a foot disease or a fungus, couldn't the fish transmit this to you?

This is definitely cirque du soleil quality. I'd be surprised if some professional organization didn't snap her up. Awesome!

Stayed in Jomtien for the month of April this year. Previously, have stayed in Patt soi 7, 8 and most recently soi 13. Found Jomtien too quiet (although the beach is generally better and the water cleaner). Spent a lot on time and money on the baht bus. Got tired of the back and forth. I'm going back to soi 13 next month.

Just wondering about hotel prices.

FedEx is my preference. Used them several times.

Almost any hotel, just walk up to reception and ask. I have done this several times. Usually they want a few baht. If you stand there and watch, its pretty secure.

I only ride the motorbike taxi when there are no other options. I have arthritis in my hip and I can't walk very far. So if I'm off the main roads, I will take one. In 10 years of visiting los, I have never had an accident, but I will admit to closing my eyes a few times.

Regarding the Kindle: Don't you have to worry about theft? What would you do with the kindle at the beach? Nobody is going to steal a used book from a beach chair...

I think our accents relate to our current environment. I spent 1 week in Texas years ago and came back with a Texan accent... for a few days anyway.
