Some really good ones but let's remember that this thread is about "urban myths" ie things that are said that are supposed to be true when in actual fact they aren't, not out and out lies that we all know are not true...........

We've all heard them. There are so many. Bar girls always lie and you can never trust them. All police are corrupt. You can live like a king for months on end without much money. Thailand is full of paedophiles. Thai whisky has amphetamine in it. Bar girls actually like going with their customers. Most bar girls are underage and forced into prostitution etc etc etc. What are the most unfounded?

I haven't but the Mrs has a few times. She got stopped when she was pissed once and I think it cost her a thousand baht. Surprised you haven't encountered this in your time in Pattaya. I thought it was common place? Although I am sure a lot of Thai policemen would be corrupt I'm not sure if I would actually have the nerve to offer them a bribe if they hadn't made the offer themselves. It could have even more serious repurcussions.

United will still be up there at the end of the season. A long way to go but I must admit with the squad that city have I think it's inevitable they will win the league. Money ruined football a long time ago and as Parkwahn said, it's all about who has the most money now. The big question though is whether they can sustain it once they have won a few trophies. Same scenario at chelski with all the money they had but they can't seem to sustain success. United have dominated English football for nearly twenty years now but I doubt city will ever do that. Prediction based on the fact United normally win when it matters.

What a setting for the Manchester derby on Sunday. Should be a cracker. I just hope it lives up to the expectations because some of these high profile games can very often be disappointing. Some of the more recent Manchester derby games have been fantastic though so let's just hope this one is too. My prediction: United 3 citeh 2
