I just found out this event was going on while I'm in Patts. Any info about it? Is it worth going to see? The website doesn't give anything other than dates. MARCH 16 - 18, 2012 THE GRAND PATTAYA INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL 2012 At the Pattaya Beach, Pattaya city 18.00 Hrs. – Midnight http://www.tatnews.org/events/events/2012/mar2012.asp

I have seen Dr. Cherry on 4 visits and have had crowns and a filling replaced by her and I've been very happy with her work to date. Not the cheapest place I've found but the prices are better than Pattaya Hospital http://www.dentistbeach.com/dental_implant.htm Sorry haven't had implants done although I am going to discuss them with her @ my appointment in March. Good luck and let us know who you use and how the quality was.

I stayed there for a week back in May - June and it was nice and new. Great bed and sheets. The dressers and cabinets were cheap press board with vinyl tack paper so I don't think they will be holding up for very long. The water pressure was shit at times. I payed 600BT a night for one of the small rooms but I think the price has gone up. I have some pictures some where. When I find them I'll add them on here I found a couple..........

Only been on Thai one time out of ICN but the plane was fine from there to BKK. My luggage was checked through so no problems. Both pieces were over 20K. Asiana now has much better connections out of O'hare anyway. No more 10 12 hours layovers. I think it is now a little over 2 hours going and 3 - 4 hours coming back. Asiana has never even weighed my bags. They just tag em and send them on.

Party May 27th @ Billabong
wetwillie replied to wetwillie's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Most of you already know about the little party that wetwillie and Perthie organised at the Billabong for this coming Friday...... Well folks, THE P.O.P. PARTY HAS GONE GONE BALLISTIC!! Faster than superman can change his underwear, the POP Party has grown from a small event into something quite spectacular. On Friday 27th May Soi LK Metro will be closed to traffic from 06:00pm until 01:00 a.m. (except to allow arriving and departing hotel /guesthouse guests), and Soi LK Metro becomes party-central for the night as we spread ourselves throughout the whole street. With the full support of all the well-known business owners of LK Metro, the whole Soi has been turned into one glorious party zone for the night. So just to remind you all what this is all about...... Pattaya Orphans Party Friday 27th May Soi LK Metro (Yes, ALL OF IT) 8.30pm onwards Charity Raffle drawn at 11:30 wetwillie and Perthie are delighted to announce that with the kind support of the business owners of LK Metro we are holding a party to raise funds for the Pattaya Orphanage. The Pattaya Orphanage is a charitable organisation that is looking after the needs of around 160 orphans, from babes-in-arms to students. They rely very heavily on donations to continue their good works. The children at the Orphanage rely on the kindness of strangers for their most basic of needs. The roof over their heads, the food on their plates, the water they drink, the nappies and clothes they wear, medication and medical care when they are ill. Put yourself in their situation for a moment as you revel in the glory of being a falang on holiday in Thailand, and consider what the price of a few drinks for you means in relative terms to them. We invite all Addicts, Talk members and friends to come along on the 27th and join us in supporting a very worthy cause. We have: Balloons (apparently some people chase them....) 10% off beer and spirits at participating bars A very special prize raffle!! Drawn at 11.30 Free FOOD!! wetwillie replied to wetwillie's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Thanks for the kind comments and support guys. As for the PP donations, well that has been scrapped due to some legal issues or something. So you will just have to show up on the 27th to participate in the raffle or donate. Dancewatchers did add to the prizes with a free night in his Luxury Room @ View Talay6 -

How much extra do they charge to have your bags in the same location and at the same time as you?

Kessaya (now Hallmark) motorbike rentals review
wetwillie replied to NorCalKid's topic in Transport in Thailand
I'll second everything you wrote. I rented a scooter from Mark back in October and his customer service is second to none. We had a little mix up on the date to be delivered so when I called him on the day I thought we agreed on he informed me the bike was already there and he came right over to give me the keys. I also had a little issue with the flood on Second Rd and completely waterlogged the scooter. I called Mark first thing the following morning to get a recommendation on where I should take it to have to have it dried out and instead he came by picked it up, took the bike in to be fixed and delivered back to me later that day. His prices were cheaper than anywhere else I checked and he provided a good helmet along with a cheaper second one for a small fee. Mark is also one of the friendliest guys I have meet in Pattaya and I look forward to renting from him again on my next trip. The only pic I have of the scooter I rented -
I want to thank everybody who contributed to make this happen. I was a little worried when I first started this venture that I would not get much of a response but so many people contributed and helped to make this a very successful and enjoyable day. We collected a little over 50,000 baht, had some toys left at The Drunken Duck and had the toys and candy I brought from home to donate. I would like to give a special thanks to BM zubbie and his friends who collected over half of our monetary funds. Without his contribution this little endeavor wouldn't have been nearly as successful. We got together at The Drunken Duck the day before the trip to go shopping for needed supplies listed on the Orphanages website. Aussiechic from PT located the store we were to do our shopping. It was a bulk retail store, like a Sam's Club here in the US. We were able to maximize the money we had to spend as prices were much less than we would have paid elsewhere. We spent around 30,000 baht on supplies and decided to give the remaining money directly to the Orphanage. Fr. Michael informed us the doctors at the Orphanage were in great need of medications and the monetary donation was very welcomed. I forgot to bring my camera for the shopping so anybody who has pictures of that day or the day at the orphanage please post them on here. Sorry The owners of The Drunken Duck let us unload and store our purchases there so the next morning we all met back at the ungodly hour of 9:00 am to load up and head off. We arranged for the driver from the day before to meet us with 2 buses for transport to the Orphanage. I'll skip over all of the chaos of the mornings events, after all TIT, but we finally managed to get loaded and on our way. We arrived at the Orphanage late only to find that most of the children had already left to attend the 36th Anniversary Concert they were performing that afternoon. My contact person was not there but every thing finally got sorted out and we unloaded all the goods and were able to visit in the nursery with the infants. It was truly a joy that words can't describe so I'll add some pics. First a link to the Orphanage website and a small tribute they posted. http://www.thepattayaorphanage.org/updaten...e=5&ac=2010

If the airlines ever try to make me sit next to something like that I'm demanding a bump and a large voucher. FFS some people have no shame. -

Yes, I just switched to a different e-mail account. I still have no idea why e-mails weren't coming through to my AT$T e-mail. -

I just edited my e-mail and received the activation to it so my problems have to be with AT$T blocking. Strange that nothing ever came to my junk or spam box though. Now lets see if I get a notification from this topic. -

I had Comcast up till a few months ago when I switched to AT$T. Mine worked with Comcast, so maybe the ISP isn't the problem, The mystery continues -

Spam filters are all turned off. I've tried every thing short of calling AT&T. I think I'd live without the notifications rather than try that. -

Hey Martin, I'm still having the e-mail issue that only started after I changed mt addy in the settings. I have done the same thing on other sites I visit frequently and the problems only seem to show up with the Thailand Forums I frequent, specifically here, PA and TV. Not sure if that is useful or not.
