hi berettakid wow ! this sounds really impressive "Krav Maga israeli fighting" have you ever considered not doing this & perhaps preserving your teeth for another time ! You seem to have an image you love to maintain as a mercenary type (bit foreign legion etc ) probably quite true but now you're just a little OTT, just my view. Stop bumming so much & be a regular guy without the BS ! I may regret this post when I wake up in a heap with the shit kicked out of me in the morning. (you don't actually know where I live do you ?) regards :beer :beer rogero

Hi Calico, thanks for the response. I had a good look around last trip when I called at the office & got shown a few of the apartments both main building & across the road. I noticed the restaurant at the corner & it looks good. The internet connection is 1000B/month & I assumed it was cable & not wi-fi. What a pity pattaya photoguide doesn't extend into the daynight area to have a proper look round from home. Sorry for the delayed reply to your post, have been trying since Xmas eve but my neighbours insist on invading me and plying me with drink. The B~~~ds

Hi Michael When I was in Pattaya recently I had a look at both the standard & deluxe apartments at Mosaik & was very impressed. I booked for mid feb/mid march & like you got the low season rate & paid the deposit while I was there. At that time there was no standard apartments available (B~~~ds like you had snapped them up ) but I was a little concerned about the extras. The Internet is 1000B/month so reasonable enough, but I was worried about the lecky/water bills but you said in your post total for last month was 1440B, Was that normal usage, if so seems OK. It

thanks jacko for that good advice. I'm determined to get my day in one of those biz cabin dentist chairs so I guess I'll persevere with Qatar until I level up !! cheers rogero

hi The OP was over 2 years ago & seemed to have developed into a personal handbag fight between BMs. Now up to date I have recently returned from Pattaya after a months stay in the LK Metro area. I found myself traveling most days to tukcom & area, (Sarah watch lady, thai food in tukcom basement, IT stuff, Tues/fri market, etc). noticed the Mosaik apartments & called at their office for info. A very pleasant lady took me across the road to their other building about 50 yards away and let me see a couple of rooms there & then back to the main building for a look at one o

This whole issue is a jungle of timing & opportunity. Book too early or too late & your options are limited. I was still in Pattaya a week ago & realised I had to book my transport to BKK airport (Bell Travel). When I did so, it sank in I was on my way home!! I felt a bit low & decided to cheer myself by booking again for feb, My mistake was booking my accommodation first rather than the flights. I spent a long time getting flights close to my dates (mid feb - mid march). When I did eventually book my flights I was able to go to the apartments & present my new imp

Acer aspire notebook not recharging
rogero replied to rogero's topic in Technical problems or questions.
Sorry to resurrect an oldish thread but I had a pleasant surprise today regarding my non-battery charging Acer. I was out most of the day exploring more massage/beer bars (only 19947 to go!). I arrived back completely beat & a few minutes at my netbook was killing my back. so I decided to indulge myself & transferred to my bed, nicely propped up but I had to faffle about with leads & adaptors first. I was surfing away happily when I noticed my battery charging was on solid & not flashing like the past 4 months. 2 hours later & battery now fully charged !! Why I d -
Eastiny, Sunrise Resort and Sawasdee Seaview

Just passed this a few hours ago on my way up to the beach road end where the Imperial residence is located, its reasonably free from the ongoing work but my mission was to compare the room rates quoted on their website. I had called in for their business card a few days ago & logged in later to be impressed by the very reasonable monthly rates. standard room 22000B, seaview room 25000B & suite 50000B (all high season). When I inquired about daily rates they didnt seem to know but showed me up to a room to inspect & yes they are immaculate and very clean. I mentioned the -

Hi Dave thanks for the gracious response. I have been suffering from a throat infection & am on antibiotics at the minute. No solids or full English for me hence my narky altitude. btw derek also gave both barrels to the poor postman on the day in question, He roared off on his motorbike with a face like thunder. cheers rogero -

have to agree with the comments about the meals, good value & staff are excellent. Only thing that rankled with me was the constant shouty & mouthy remarks of the roadside table dwellers to anyone who passed by their territory. At first I thought it was a in joke thing with friends but when I noticed the reactions of the abused who were not impressed with the moronic comments I was quite embarrassed on their behalf. I noticed much the same at the tuesday market when I stopped off at one of the inside restaurants to enjoy a long cool drink. There was a fat slob at the front wh -
Acer aspire notebook not recharging
rogero replied to rogero's topic in Technical problems or questions.
Many thanks for info, May consider that at end of my visit or get it fixed on warranty at home. I googled & found this from july/09: "At present, Acer has more than15 Acer Service Centers across Thailand. Six centers are located in Bangkok: Rama 3, Pantip Plaza, Zeer Rangsit, IT Mall Fortune, Seacon Square, and Kingkaew (AOC). The remaining nine centers are in Chonburi, Rayong, Nakorn Ratchasima, Khon Kean, Phitsanulok, Chiangmai, Hat Yai, Phuket and Surat Thani." So apparently none in pattaya yet. cheers rogero -

Many thanks Frosty for that very prompt response Thats good enough for me. Glad I didn't attempt anything. cheers rogero -
hi all First OP in this section. My Acer aspire one notebook model ZG5 will not recharge battery after I let it discharge since buying it a few months ago. I goggled & discovered the bios needs to be updated to v3309, (currently v3114), to allow recharging. however Acer.com UK does not support bios updates for model ZG5. I have downloaded what I think is the equivalent bios update (a110 v3309) but the procedure to upgrade to the latest bios version involves booting from an USB mem stick containing the relevant bios update but having attempted this a few years ago on a desktop

I logged in & clicked new posts yesterday, but found my layout had changed to ( I now know to be outline view), My first thought was that the site had upgraded but I couldn't find any reaction from other BMs so assumed I had somehow altered my setup (perhaps while pissed!). Outline mode was a nightmare & I searched everywhere in an effort to change back to the original. (my controls, my assistant etc). Eventually found options & selected standard & was relieved to get away from outline mode. (the other option of linear seemed no different from standard?) Sorry to T

Brilliant ! I dread to think of how many pious groups you have mortified with your non-PC jokes You've probably covered the whole spectrum in one OP. (not that I agree with any off course) Just wanted to comment before this OP gets zapped, Will deny this post once sober. cheers

Absolutely stupid as f##k but very funny, All your rum & coke!! now that's getting serious ! cheers

I don't care if this is only to boost your post count but its amusing enough for me to enjoy. cheers

I knew you would respond in your usual style. You are so f***ing outrageous which is why so many BMs enjoy your patter. I think once you get over your shyness & embrace more with fellow BMs you will be accepted more (just being ironic) cheers rogero

I am completely pissed at your great deal (£377). I also booked with Qatar a few months ago with what I thought was a bargain but at about £70 more than you have got ! Don't wait to gain a few £, you've already got a good deal. When I was in the M.Navy (30 years) all my flights were booked at the office (HK) and all I had to do was turn up at the local airport & pick up the tickets. Now I realise what a hassle it is going DIY & searching for a bargain ! Off course my (HK) shipping company had a few advantages such as having their own travel agents & a little outfit called C

I thank you also for that good info. Like 00mic I have booked roughly the same flight with Qatar but LHW - Doha - BKK with about the same transfer times, Nice to know its not a rush job at Doha. I assumed the luggage was automatically transferred but it was nice to see another poster (jacko) who confirmed it, tks. cheers rogero

This is yet another PR stunt by the egomaniac Michael O'Leary to boost his RyanAir company. A few weeks ago he was promoting his future plans to charge passengers to use the toilet @ £1 a time. (in flight!) What is it with these airline bosses that they are obsessed with getting their faces on the media. Branson etc!! cheers rogero

hi 4niceight Delighted to hear about your successful outcome. I hadn't realized you had both eyes treated at the same time! You seem to have coped well with the stress & resultant worries about the post op reviews. Your experiences for pre-op & actual surgery are an echo of mine. (although my ops were a week apart) I was so apprehensive of my first surgery & yet afterward s I couldn't wait for my return trip to Glasgow & my second Op. I have been told I will have to wait 6 weeks to 3 months to assess my current eyesight capability. As far as I am concerned nu

Fatigue seems to taking its toll on the US team as the experience of the Brazilians is starting to show. Nevertheless a wonderful showing by the US national team. They will be regarded in a different light from now on. Final whistle 3-2, Kudos to both sides for providing great entertainment. rogero still

Regardless of the final score this will be a tremendous result for US football (sorry soccerball as Beckham calls it). A great advert for the sport & the US kids will be flocking to sign up. Tim Howard is playing a blinder, but can they (US) hang on? brilliant match so far. Guess what!!! Brazil has just equalized 2-2 win win situation for everyone with this exhibition of top class soccer. rogero
