Owl I can understand why you might not have any friends.......who would be willing to keep something for you. :) The buying of a safe or another utility for your accommodation is not as outlandish as you may think. It may not have suited you, but a more polite reply would have been appropriate. There is a well worn system of purchasing goods for use whilst on holiday and then getting a portion of your money back from the local second hand/pawn shop. There are at least a couple in Soi Buakhao.

It's on the Naklua(10 baht) baht bus route or two minutes walk from the Dolphin roundabout to put it in perspective. It's at the other end of the Beach road than WS. No more than two years old and friendly to guests. The pool is actually a lot bigger than is shown in their pic. Maybe 50 meters. From memory a Singha from the minibar is around 35 baht. Much the same for a poolside order. If it wasn't peeing down, I'd take some photos. Don't want to get my camera wet.

Why would you expect to pay air cond. and electricity on a daily rate? Daily and weekly rates are all inclusive.

I'm sure he means 15,000 to 30,000 baht. Does he expect to get a private villa with a swimming pool for £25 to £50 per day or £250 to £500 per month?

£538 with Cathay is good. Prolly best to stick with that if you're happy with the dates and connection times.
