I used them last November 2005. I was picked up with a Honda CRV from an apartment in Bangkok and taken to Pattaya. The price was 1500 baht. Two people with large luggage. Used them again in March 2006, again two people with large luggage, picked up with a Honda Stream. Again, the price was 1500 baht. The manager is a driver and gave me his card. Not quite sure how you managed to pay 4000 baht. Methinks we haven't heard both sides of the story.

I'm not sure anyone has understood the question... It is about buying a UK to Bkk ticket in Thailand. That is cross border ticketing and won't work out cheaper. It's cheaper to buy a UK to Bangkok ticket in the UK and/or a Bkk to UK ticket in Bangkok.

In fact you can book a UK - BKK ticket in Thailand, though it won't be cheaper than booking it in the UK. In fact, in most cases it will be more expensive.

They sell something similar as TOPS and Watsons. Individually wrapped toothpick/flossers. Most useful. They look like this, but are individually wrapped; http://www.laxmann.com/ -

In Bangkok, you can take your Auntie to the BedSupper Club You can take your Auntie and nieces to the Khaosan Road or any of the large malls around town. For example; The Siam Discovery Centre at Siam Square. There's a cinema on the top floor. Take them them to the luxury version(Golden EGV) for a treat. Films are in English. Whilst there, pop across the road to the MBK Centre and pick up a Thai SIM card for your mobile telephone for around £3. Prefixing your calls to the UK with 00944 and you will only pay 10p per minute using a Thai SIM card. 7p for Int. SMS and as little as 1.5p for domes -
No direct flights, though there are likely to be indirect flights with the likes of Malaysia(MH) via KL and China Eastern(MU) via PVG(Shanghai).
-
Many other travel agents get their tickets from them. Save the shoe leather. Just go for a cheaper airline if you want to save money. If you wish fly direct, consider EVA Air. They most certainly will have Thai speaking staff. BA next. Generally Thai is the most expensive and offers the least. If she's a student, she may get a discount. If considering indirect, start with Etihad, Qatar and Emirates. A good 10,000 baht less than direct flights.
-
Was more interested in whether anyone had seen their flying stock. Their full return fare to Siem Reap is US$170. I don't know about taxes and surcharges, but that's no worse than Bangkok Airways from BKK.
-
PMT Air Has anyone here flown this route?

The best that I have found in Pattaya is; KN Travel , 597/2 Moo 10 South Pattaya Rd. (Opposite the Bamboo Bar) Tel +66(0)38-710967-70 Fax+66(0)38 429 143.
-
China Airlines fly direct to BKK from AMS. The flight from Paris requires an additional connection.
-
For around the same price, you'll get a superior choice of flying times and flights with BA. Plus you may get seat-back screens with 'video on demand'. Not sure CI can compete.
-
Maybe if you mentioned what "basically the same prices" meant, in real terms.....
-
You can book it on the British Airways website for less than 775 euros or fly with Gulf Air for under 600.

Spent two months in Thailand, October to December and decided to try spending Christmas at home in the UK. Flew back to the UK on the 14th(What was I thinking...?) and was back in Thailand on the 20th. Stayed for another 5 months. -

Anyone Stay at Ma Maison
valentinoxxx replied to doug2u's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
There could be something in what you say. Though in my case, I was staying in a Superior Room whilst at the same time a friend was staying in a Standard Room. Apart from a considerably larger room, I had a high quality table and chairs and a larger TV etc There was an easily discernible difference. I haven't seen every room, so there could be differences. -

To be fair, the Suite is bigger and has more furniture than a Standard room. -

Were the murders in Glasgow connected with tourism? I doubt it. So statements such as, "I think thailand is a lot safer than the uk." have little basis in reality. If there were 9 tourists murdered in the UK in the last eighteen months plus liberal reports of attack, including rapes, your statement would have some creedence. Keep your wits about you wherever you go. -

Khrongfa khrongfa@ego.co.th have cars at 1200 plus tolls and 'limousines' at 1500 baht plus tolls. Limousine is a Volvo or a Honda CRV. -
Also available at a similar price(£99.99 is the Samsung A6, at http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Home.htm Cat. no. 5603251 The Samsung U-CA5 would be the pick for the US market, as it's around the same price there. The remote control is available in Bangkok for 321 baht. The Praktica puts a tick against all of the main buttons. Good value.
